I have been on amphetamines' for ADHD for 9 years, and recently separated my shoulder about 3 weeks ago. I was recommended by an Arzt (physician) friend of mine to just take some oxy that was going to give me. I did so, but I've never had any relief, and or pleasure from oxy (doses of up to 120 mg IR). So I told him I wanted tapentadol, a new medication for various types of pain.

A little background on tapentadol-It is somewhat related to tramadol; but has a MUCH Greater pronounced Mu Opioid receptor binding and activating effect, which greatly increases it's analgesic effect, and it's euphoria. It is also coupled with a secondary mechanism of of norepinephrine reuptake inhibition.

With 100 mg of Nucynta combined with just 40 mg of IR Adderall, taken orally, for me was comparable, if not superior to the complete body orgasm and intense euphoria you receive from the first 250 mg of 90-95% Pure "white lady" that you insulfate as one line!!!!! =D

After taking my Adderall & Nucynta, I was getting ready for a day of reading and working on a reasearch project for my "Un-named Pharmaceutical Company Employer"; when after about 30 minutes, I had to stop the reading, and lay down on the couch because of the INTENSE ORGASMIC EUPHORIA that I was unsuspectedly suddenly experiencing!!! I had researched tapentadol rigorously before being prescribed it, and there was no studies or info on interactions, co-commitant use with stimulants, etc, except for the usual risk of serotonin syndrome combined with SSRI's or SNRI's, and risk of seizures.

I had assumed that it would feel somewhat like tramadol, and feel somewhat the same when combined with amphetamines, which is a nice "light euphoria" but nothing great. Nucynta and the amphetamines, however, was a VERY NICE SURPRISE!!!! To explain the experience in my head, it felt like I was flying through space at warp speed, that there wasn't ANYTHING in the world that could be painful emotionally or that there ever was any other feeling than this MASSIVE EUPHORIA I was experiencing!!!!

The "Non-Central Nervous System" effects were just as equally AMAZING!!!! My arms and legs were weightless, and touching them, and touching any object increased the euphoria!! It felt mentally, and physically as if I was in the middle of the best orgasm in my life, yet it felt in a sense 100 times as strong as that sexual pleasure :)

These effects, for me, lasted for about 4 to 6 hours, and the come down was nice and easy, as compared to the usual amphetamine crash, and opioid wear-off crap feeling. I repeated the same dose that evening to see if I would achieve the same effects, or was it going to be just like the cocaine tachyphylaxis, that you barely feel any euphoria & only reduce the major depression after the crash. NOPE, I achieved the same EUPHORIA as I did with the first dose of the combo!!! Simply AMAZING!!!!

I know some may cite risks of serotonin syndrome with this combo, or seizures; which may be true in certain individuals. But I felt no jitters, tremors, nausea, hyperthermia, etc, that are some of the sx/sx of serotonin syndrome.
The risk is fairly low with the dosage that was consumed, and as well, tapentadol, just as tramadol, isn't a very effective reuptake inhibitor of 5-HT (serotonin), and the mechanism is significantly specific to the presynaptic norepinephrine neuron; therefore if the dose isn't too excessive of either drug, in my opinion the risk is remote-if almost non-existant, regarless of the dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin releasing mechanism from presynaptic neurons caused by amphetamines, as well as the reuptake inhibition.:)

Just as a trip report, I have to say I was SIMPLY BLOWN AWAY with the ORGASMIC EUPHORIA that I experienced. If anyone else has experienced what I have experienced with this combo, or if it was a bad experience, I would love to hear about it!!

Hope everyone has a safe and "responsible weekend" :)

Be very very careful with the path you are heading down.
I have had some rough years due to stimulants and its all started with adderall.

Adding opiates (opiods) to the mix is just increasing the risk.

Never-The-Less, thanks for the report.

To the original poster - you mentioned you have taken upwards of 120mgs Oxycodone. Do you use opiods on a regular basis? I'm trying to gauge your tolerance as I have a chance to aquire Nucynta but I'm afraid my tolerance is too high to experience any euphoric effects. I am on 150mgs + oxymorphone (Opana) daily prescribed for chronic pain.

Thanks!

^ Sorry poster, but you didn't mention which drug you are taking 150mgs of; I'm curious if it's oxycodone as I've heard of Opana being prescribed with it before. I am curious how you like the effects of oxymorphone, both analgesic and euphoric. I haven't heard of it going in the IR dose form as much as it's bigger ER brother/sister med. Do you think you would be able to control your pain with just IR doses as one would with hydromophone(I am currently on hydromorphone). This could possibly a medication to be used for myself in the future if it ever makes it to market in Canada. I find the euphoric effects of the opioids to be almost as important as the analgesic effects too, sometimes they can bring down the stress levels associated to living with chronic pain.

To the OP, if you're doing research for a pharmaceutical company than you obviously have at least a degree in pharmacy or medicine, so I assume you know quite well what you are experimenting with. What is the strongest opioid you have taken, if you don't mind me asking? Just as an above poster said, I'm trying to gauge your tolerance a little so I can compare effects with my hydromorphone-this sounds quite interesting.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Sorry for the confusion. I'm taking 150 mgs of Opana IR and ER daily. The + was meant to indicate that I take more than 150 mgs contingent on pain level. I take 3 40mg Opana ER with 10mg Opana IR 3 to 5 times/day for break through pain. To answer your question - no, I could not properly manage my pain with only Opana IR as the ERs have skyrocketed my oxymorphone tolerance. That being said I've seen semi experience
d opiod users get faded off of 5mg Opana IR orally. I'd take my 10mg Opana IR over 30mgs Roxi any day.

Hey man, so you said you were taking 100 mg of nucynta, i usually end up taking 150 of those and, although I do get nauseous, I found that with a low tolerance to it 150 mg can be overwhelming at times. I had a bad accident that made my foot go to crap and required five major surjeries over the course of two years, so for about two years straight i was munching on norco (2[10 mg each] every 4 hrs) and I've gone on and off of opiate pharms since my last surgery. I am really surprised that you don't get nausea from it at all, that's like the worst symptom for me, but mostly when I'm riding in the car, I just get super nauseous with movement but I can't go on any steel twisty roller coasters without puking either, so it might just be me. Btw, that was a super helpful post (I'm currently on 200 mg nucynta and 40 mg xr addies) and I was curious to see what they'd be like together. it's pretty awesome man, you were right lol. but thanks for contributing that, it's nice to see a knowledgeable post give some good details. I mean you even talked about snri's and ssri's, and how serotonin syndrome is a pretty nasty side effect. I'm on 30 mg of Lexapro a day as well, so since my system is already flooded with serotonin I'm definitely more prone to get it than others, and I have to be pretty careful with a lot of drugs because I'm on such a high dose of SSRIs. But yea man rock on with pharmaceuticals and keep up with posts like this one. It'll be appreciated
