Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum, I'm new here. I'm visiting by OBGYN in few hours and they need to check my thyroids, I asked for a urine test but they can only test my blood. Mind you, this is the DR that prescribes me hydros. Thankfully I'm only seeing the nurse today so my actual dr won't see for herself. I have no vein on my left arm, it's literally nonexistent/pretty sure it collapsed from IV use. They are going to want to do my right arm but there is a hard thick lump where I've been missing sometimes, and I guess there's lots of thick scar tissue on the vein. What should I tell her when she goes to draw blood? That I had an iv in at the hospital for a few days? They could easily do my hand but what would be my excuse for telling them I prefer to draw blood in my hand? I really don't wanna pay $40 to not get any hydros ever again when they realize I'm a recovering junkie. ooh maybe I could tell them I recently donated plasma and put cotton and tape over the area? Please help me out with any suggestions, excuses or ideas. Thanks.
