A warning to those locking your drugs in a safe...

Or you can use a combination safe and remember the numbers while sober. A blackout won't make you forget. Or store the number in a hidden computer file.
 
If anyone has a combination safe and worries about forgetting the combination numbers then I would be more than happy to make a record of the numbers for you and if you ever forget them then I will remind you of the combination for a small portion of your stash.
I'm good like that.
 
Has the key been found yet?

How would you smash open the safe? If I knew WDs were coming on shortly I'd be trying my hardest to retrace my steps cause I best be findin' that key!

Sometimes it'll be in a really weird place, like the freezer or in pockets of coats you never wear.
 
That sucks so bad, man, but I have a feeling that you'll find it... one day when you're just hanging out around the apartment and you look at the spot where you hid the key - the corner of a room, behind the fridge, the toilet, whatever - it's all going to come back to you like, "oh, shit, that's where I put it!"

But at any rate, be sure to let us know if you do find it.
 
If you can get a metal coat hanger and straighten it out. Run it along the hinge to remove the metal rod and bam! The safe is open. If its welded together this won't work. This is my only tip.


If its like a key lock you can go on YouTube and look up how to pick a lock. It works.
 
Can't you just break the damn thing open? Given sufficient time, all safes are can be opened by brute force alone. The main value of safes is a) in planned use like a bank or jeweler, they are designed to be hard enough to open such that it takes longer to do so then it takes it to get caught. or b) for personal types, it's probably not worth the effort.

never the less, no one is going to catch you breaking into your own safe, and it may be worth it. Humans have become very good at getting into places that seem hard to get into, on the easier side, there is dropping bombs from supersonic planes though reinforced concrete bunkers, on the more difficult side, there is taking a drill bit about a foot and half wide, lower it around mile under the ocean and proceeding to make a 35,000 foot deep hole though rock. I'm betting the challenge of opening a small safe can be completed with nothing overly exotic. Post a pic of the safe? Maybe BL can provide some insight on how to go about it.

He said he didn't want to break it open. I love how ten different people write "Smash it open" and the like when OP clearly stated that he did not want to ruin his safe just yet. I have an APP on my phone called bestsafe. It requires a pin and you can put any combination or code in there, along with credit card numbers and such in case you lose your wallet and need to cancel it.

As for the key, I would have just hid it in a pair of pants on my floor. Hidden in plain sight nobody would suspect it.
 
most shite digital safes can be opened by smacking your palm on the top while simultaneously turning the handle gimmick. its no joke super duper easy. the first time i tried, it opened on the third hit. i know this doesnt help, but its a good thing to know.
 
If its a cheaper safe like $100 or less it can be picked easy. I did this a few days ago, locked up some hydromorphone in a cheap $30 dollor cashbox before going to work about 7 hours out of town. Got back a week later with one thing on my mind and forgot where I hid the key and dumped my travel bag cause I thought I put the key in there. Gave up looking and just used some tool out of a nail clipper set and picked it in like 10 seconds. Got high and sat back whene I looked down found the key right where I dumped the bag, was so anxious to get loaded I overlooked it haha.
