A thread to express your love of (or hate of); Potplants

Melbourne is a great climate for Succulents. Adelaide even better.
You can create humidity if needed, but up here you cant get rid of it. :)

Mediterranean climate.
 
When I get around to it I will buy myself other succulent and a cacti, I think. Are catci's succulents or the other way around?
 
Hehe. It's confusing because people call them Cacti and succulents like they are two distinct things.
The simple rule is...
"All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are cacti"
Meaning
Cactaceae are a family of succulent plants.
and succulent just describes some of the morphological features of a plant. :)
 
here is a picture of a plant i love to death, tomato plants. its not looking overly healthy atm due to not watering for a couple of days, but its pickin up. theres about 4 of 5 babies in there and nearly ready to be taken out the pot, so to speak.

I went up to my mums this afternoon and did a mission around the garden. I spent 3 years landscaping, planting trees I had grown and heaps of plants that I bought or scored from the garden centre. Things were looking awesome really.

I am going to go up there and spend a few days doing some pruning and potting up. I found a book in the Library about desiging with Australian Rainforest species that I'm reading atm, its giving some good inspiration...

Stupid hateful plants making me feel bad. I'm going to become a vegetarian just to spite them.

dem some funky lookin cacti.

i got one thats kinda dead on the rain water tank. the bottom half is brown but its top half is all green. it's taken about 10 years to get to about a foot tall.
 
well its boiled up now. watch for my emergency help posts in OD if things start to go wrong.

could someone please reassure me i'm not about to die...
