Another thread 'bumped' due to the Biogenesis scandal.
This time around though, he [A-Rod] isn't admitting to using PED's, despite what seems to be sufficient evidence to prove his guilt. He isn't exactly denying using them either though, and just keeps on citing this process that they are going through, and that there will be a time to discuss everything, but that time isn't now.
Curt Schilling had put it good in one of the many discussions on the topic on one of the many segments dedicated to the whole Biogenesis ordeal. He said something along the lines of 'There are only two answers to the question of whether or not he [A-Rod] used PED's. No, and then anything else.' Basically he is saying that if A-Rod didn't take any PED's then he would answer 'NO' when asked the question of whether or not he took them, so for him to give any other answer is pretty much an admission of guilt.
If he really didn't take them then there would be no reason for him to reply with any answer other than 'No' and since he is not giving that answer he's just putting it off in hopes that there is insufficient evidence against him, so in the meantime he'll dance around the real answer so that he can say that he didn't lie all these times in the event that he loses his appeal and his suspension sticks.
I just hope that this doesn't turn into the Roger Clemens case where he was brought to court and it was the biggest waste of time ever since all he did was deny everything once again, while everybody knew he was telling one lie after another for the 3-5 hours of the court case that were televised that day, not to mention the countless hours leading up to and following the case in which ESPN did nothing but talk about the case, yet in the end nothing was settled so nothing came from all of that.
