^Quite good, a bit stressed- got my arse kicked for being slack at work or something (I'm not urgent enough apparently- wtf?)- basically, I am close to being fired. Seiously sick of this shit- I just can't or won't make small talk or talk shop 24/7 as its useless to me. When I asked my damn boss to explain to me what ACTIONS I was doing wrong, he stumbled about and basically said that its more an "attitude" thing. Also- WTF? So I am close to losing this job, not because I do bad work or something; but because I don't do it with enough intensity. Fuck that- I'm thinkin that as its a small business pretty much getting run into the ground, they might just wanna save money. At least, I hope its that and not me, because I honestly have no idea how to change my urgency levels.
You know, the economy around the world is receding... it probably is because they have to cut some people. That does suck though.

I know how happy you are to be working.
So I have been hangin with this really cool girl lately, we saw a a couple shows over the weekend and even drove an hour and a half to fort collins on the spur of the moment to see cornmeal two days in a row, it's really exciting being with her. I think she's kinda my girlfriend, but we'll see where things go, either way I'm on top of the world right now
Hey man, that's awesome. It sounds like you guys are friends first, more than friends second. That's how it was with me and my wife... we met when we were 18 at the beginning of college and from then on we just basically hung out all the time, whenever we didn't have things to do. We met before winter break and then right when we got back to school we started hanging out more often, and then after 2 weeks of going to parties and hanging out wqith our friends together, we became official while we were on a road trip to the Mississippi River. And now we've been together for 7 years, we're married, and we own a house together.

My point is, it's awesome to have a girl who's your friend.

karma is sad again... I kept getting led on by jobs.
I landed a PT waitressing job and I was all stoked to start tomorrow and they just called to let me know that they "wont be needing me" Such bullshit! I dont deserve these emotional curve balls that kept getting thrown my way.
I wish it was summer... fuck the snow. Im off to some benzos myself.
Aw, karma... I'm thinking it's for the best. You'll find out what you're supposed to be doing soon.

And Spring is just around the corner. I know I always feel better once winter is over.
I am watching the Chicago episode of "man vs. food" and it is really making me want some real deep dish pizza, preferably Lou Malnati's. WHY CAN'T PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF CHICAGO TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEEP DISH AND "THICK CRUST"
AHHHHHHH
I know we have some Chi-folk on this board that can attest
Hell yeah! Chicago-style deep dish is a totally different thing. You pretty much have to eat it with a knife and fork. But people outside of Chicago don't know the difference because they have no way of knowing... it really only exists in the Chicago area. I've even gone to a Gino's in another state and it's not the same there even though it's supposed to be. So it's really not their fault.
The New Yorkers always try to hate on Chicago style pizza for some reason... it's in their culture or something, like the city of New York itself is going to hang them up for treason if they admit to liking it at all. Personally I like them both... they're just two totally different foods. You can't really compare. Anthony Bourdain ate Chicago style pizza in an episode of No Reservations and he bitched the whole time about how it was some sort of freak show and how it's not real pizza, and the only way he could finally admit to liking it was when he decided to not call it pizza since they're basically two separate things.
Silly pride.
Nothing more rewarding than a fat slice of Lou Malnati's pizza. Giordanos is really good too but I think Malnati's has better sauce. For good non deep dish pizza in Chicago, I go to Bricks and get the Ditka. Every meat you can think of and spicy as hell. Man, I'm hungry now, might order some Giordanos as we have one in DeKalb.
DeKalb has a Giordanos now? Lucky! Have you ever had Pizza Villa? It's on Annie Glidden between Lincoln Highway and Lucinda somewhere. It's really good. Actually, my wife likes it even more than any other Chicago-style pizza anywhere. I like some others like Giordanos more, but it's damn good still.
So now that I've replied to 4 or so pages of posts... hello! It's fucking cold here, but I've got a nice new warm jacket so I'm good. I woke up this morning and my toe hurts really, really bad... I have no idea what happened. I have to limp significantly and if I touch it at all, even with my sock, it burns. it kinda feels fractured or something except unless I woke up in the middle of the night and stubbed it really hard, I didn't ever do anything to it. I'm confused!
Also, last night I took a shower and about 2 hours afterwards I realized that it had not drained at all. I tried plunging the drain, and some clumps of hair came out, but it didn't clear the drain at all. This morning all of the water is still there. I'm thinking maybe there's a frozen section in that part of the pipe, although none of our other pipes are frozen. Today is supposed to get above freezing and then tomorrow it will be like 50+ degrees so if that's the problem, it will fix itself soon. If not, then I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it.

I can't use Drano or anything because the tub is full of water. Any ideas?
