I'd really recommend the album it's from - The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld. Is an absolute classic - one of my all-time favourites - and really deserves to be listened to as a whole for best results. Would recommend pretty much all of their other albums too, to be honest. I <3 The Orb :D

Other than the aforementioned conspiracy of capitalist pigdogs, no idea. It's actually slightly better than usual - still so much crap in it it's unreal though. Didn't stop me buying another 1/8, mind :\8):D

^Good afternoon Shambles, I am quite well today- haven't smoked pot in a while and feel nicely clear headed, albeit kinda nervous.

I am awaiting the stonedness that shall accompany me and Miss Swilows journey to our friends in the country tonight- should be odd, as have to drive thru lotsa the area's burned by fire of late.....Thinking of smoking some DMT and praying for happyness, though the death vibes could be strong.

Indeed it is. Anyone would think they took drugs or summat... Music of my youth - much fine acid and many fine memories - so may explain a lot... The Ultraworld album was pretty much made to be heard on LSD and/or MDMA - for best results through a massive sound system in a field full of wasted-folks in the middle of nowhere as the sun is rising <3

Been listening to loads of The Orb recently cos I finally transferred it all onto my new hard-drive - not listened to some of them for years. One more favourite off that album and I'll give it a rest - The Orb - Perpetual Dawn (Ultrabass II). And one from Orbus Terrarum for a bit of variety and cos it makes me :) - The Orb - Slug Dub :)

Incidentally, be warned, y'all - this speed may be shonky but there's quite a bit of it so I may well clutter up your social thread with my nostalgic musical reminiscences again tonight. Although it doesn't seem as though much of this stuff is that well known outside of Blighty so I consider it a matter of public education - no psyche-lover should be without the classics. Glad you enjoy some of it cos I've discovered some damn fine tunes from you fine fellas recommendations. Many thanks :)<3:)

PS: On the subject of stonedness, this rather tasty hash is going down a treat after so much of Dr. Huffman's 18th recently, so am in the stoned camp :)

PPS: I rather like the current social thread title myself, Mr Swill-Eau. Am always intrigued as to where you get them from though. I only have to think up an "amusing" thread title every now and again for the EADD Gibberings thread, but they're never as good as your ones. I like the way your thread-titling mind works, sirrah :)

I often attempt to amalgamate something I've thought of with a topic of discussion in here- but very nearly always come up with some utter gibberish. I think fizzacyst was on the money with his notion of takin a whiff of petrol and spewing out whatever is in my head at the time.

Do you guys get amphetamine or methamphetamine in UK? Meth- being the main form of speed in Aus- makes me a fucking loony. I am very glad I don't use it any longer, though I would take dexamphetamine if twere offered.

Actually, if some offered me a choice of three drugs now- DMT, oxycodone or ketamine- I think I would take the ketamine. I'm not sure why I thought of that, but yeah. ;)
 
Have enjoyed many of your musical recommendations, Swilow - the Kindzadza album from a while back was one of them :)

We mostly get "base" speed in the UK - amphetamine sulphate (I think) rather than meth. Meth is like hen's teeth and is all but unknown. Some years ago I knew a phet chemist who supplied large parts of Britain for a long time. Got all sorts of speedy goodies from him - including meth and proper liquid base rather than the cut-to-ribbons paste crap that's all I can get now.

Even the crappy stuff will send you nuts after a few days, but nothing like meth (or liquid base) psychosis. I'm actually quite liking it now despite my bitching. "Base" is oddly mellow in a way - much more of a spaced-out feeling than you'd expect from speed. Still keeps you up forever, mind :)

And for a change in musical ambience, you'd have to have a heart of stone not to enjoy this :)
 
^Speed can be a rather mellow experience if dosing gently. I dunno, caffeines about as stimulated as I need to be these days. But yeah, I mean meth in aus is unbeliavbly cut- one should need only the smallest dose of meth, yet people will sniff grams in a night :\ I purifed some meth not long ago with a friend, roughly five grams of powder. Elicited maybe- half gram of very strong methamphetamine, if that. I would say the ratio of meth to the cut is 1:10 or more. Fucking horrible shit, which stills drves you mad as a hatter too :)

Ok, so again, this is from my brothers blog. He is trying to decide if Joaquin Phoenix is honestly drugged up on the letterman show, or just a publicity stunt for his upcoming hip-hop album.

I’ve watched this several times and can’t come to a conclusion on whether it is staged or real. But it’s incredibly entertaining. This was the best I’ve seen Letterman in a long time.

My inclination was that this was a publicity stunt for Phoenix’s new hip-hop career. But I’ve seen a lot of people on drugs and he certainly has the drugged out quality to him. On the other hand, he is a talented actor so it’s hard to say. I would like to do a informal poll. If you watch this, leave a one word comment on what you think. Either ‘drugged’ or ’staged’
