aye, i meant starting that weekend. sorry if that wasn't clear.

(that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it :p :D)

i don't care when it is, but we needed a starting point for discussion. i think you should decide pekkie, you appear to be the de facto event co-ordinator. ;)
 
I would be planning on staying 4 nights. I plan to go over there, have the big meetup then still meet up with people for a few days. 1 night would be pish.
 
If this is really going to happen (& it could well be the best thing ever if it does) then concrete plans really need to be set in motion fairly soon I reckon.

I think mugabe should do it. He's great at coming up with ker-aaaazy plans. :D
 
Yeah there's no way it's going to get swung around. Although I hope that only people who actually intended to go voted.
 
my vote goes for the end of june beginning of july as then i will have finished uni(YAY!!!)=D =D =D
 
How about Friday 27th or Saturday 28th? That way I can go over on the Friday, meet some people get settled in. Then have the big meet up on Saturday then collateral escapades of fun and sociable happenings with some people! Any time after that date would be fine too.

I was trying to make allowances for oxegen but that's 2008! Speaking of which, is anyone on here going? Did you get the early bird tickets or have you got tickets sorted. I got my ticket - 190 Euro.

I'm down, but not too keen about whats going down in the 'dam at the moment.. I'd be worried about the regime changes. But I suppose BL knows best. ;)
 
july 4th falls on a saturday in '09. that means most US BLers with real jobs would have a long weekend. it might make it easier for people to make it.

Yeah but make flights out/and around the US crazy ass expensive.
 
What's the best travel website for people flying from Canada or the US?

I'll probably just fly to London and then maybe get the train to Amsterdam from there or something as I have to stop in London for a week or two anyway. Seems that's going to be significantly cheaper than flying direct there.
