So here I am in 7 stax. Spending $60/day in these mufuckers and slowly not being able to buy what I need in life. I just made it 2 days without it in an effort to try to stop this nonsense. Longest I’ve made it is a week and it was terrible. I get paid tonight and I’m making an appointment with an abuse dr to get on subs or something. This wd process isn’t like heroin and over in 4 or 5 days with a lasting shitty feeling for like 2 weeks. This is panic, utter debilitating anxiety, and restlessness like I’ve never had. It’s worse than heroin. I cold turkey’s heroin— well I drank a ton of alcohol but I stopped.

I used to not really agree with medical-assisted treatment, not long term at least. I know people who’ve been on subs for 10 years. That seems like not really addressing the addiction. I’ve been addicted to kratom since 2022, switched to 7oh when that came out. I was so happy I no longer had to drink the gross sludge. I got pretty carried away with 7. I was stealing it a lot, which was so stupid. I got immediately, heavily addicted to 7oh. I started with like 7.5 mg and after about a month, I was taking upwards of 200mgs a day. Sometimes 4-500. I had a worse physical addiction to 7 than I had withdrawing from heroin. It was so fast! Within a week of using it daily, I was physically dependent. No drug has ever got me down like this. The prolonged withdrawal is really a big issue.

The mental anguish is really so much more than I’ve ever had with any drugs. And I’ve used a lot in my life and been through some trauma, but I’ve never felt as bad as this shit makes you feel when you don’t have it.

I just need support I guess.

You're good - it's a fine place to post.

Sorry to hear about your dependence - 7-oh is really tough to manage. If you do end up on buprenorphine and don't want to be on long-term, a good option would be the sublocade injection. It is given monthly (there are also weekly forms) but due to it's very long half-life, you can very slowly taper off of it without a ton of discomfort (7-oh is the opposite, incredibly short halflife, which makes it go from high to withdrawing rather quickly). If you get the injection, you could stabilize for a few months, and then start to ask for less frequent appointments (so coming back in 6 weeks instead of 4) so you can start to taper off of the injection. Eventually you can just stop getting it and it'll take several months for it to fully exit your system, while your opioid receptors have time to stabilize during the process. I've worked with a number of folks who have found this to be a successful way to stop using opioids, and to come off of buprenorphine.

i know i keep banging on this but not sure i ever got an answer:
has anyone (other than the one member here( have any luck with tapering off the substance? is it like if i got it i gotta take it? this does sound horrible and i couldnt imagine CT kratom leaf at over 10gs.
at least the leaf does more for me than just pain relief. mood enhancement by whatever action but does more than antidepressants ime also can focus more about an hour after a shot of tea. not sure what thats about but it lasts 3-4hrs. i call this my productive periods.

best to ya. i mean i havent tried it but kratom yes for almost ten years now? its helpful to me. i usually do not abuse the substance that are helpful (much). its the one offs that i get stuck in.

I've been on the powder stuff for 7-8 years. Occasionally getting the extract. For the past few years my libido was gone. And I mean non-existent. Which was horrible because I'm a married woman who's husband still wants what they want. Luckily, (haha?) I got cancer and stayed at my mom's house for a year, she took care of me: husband works everyday. But anyway...... That got me off of it, which I hated, and 6 months without it, I STILL wanted it. More psychological than physical of course, but my libido started coming back. Too bad I thought I could control it when I finally got home. Back to the beginning I guess.
But good luck to you. I never thought I'd be one of those 20 grams a day people, I was fine for a year or two, peace

I think the unique thing about kratom leaf at lower doses is that has a mild stimulant quality to go with a mild opioid quality. That's kind of the gold standard for me. But they say the stimulant aspect goes away when doses go up. Higher doses it's just more of a sedative quality, not what I want. That's part of why I have always stayed below 5 g a day ( actually, more like 2.5 or less) That way I keep the mild stimulation
I have only a little bit of experience with 7oh, really didn't take to it. But it really didn't feel stimulating to me. It did seem more-ish to me, though, which I didn't want

Opioid at a low dose was always a stimulant guarantee preference personally.

Thank you. One up again. haha 👍

It seems to me to be a downgrading of opium dosing that doesn't seem to lower the risk of dependence and misuse.

It seems like it is all going to be illicit one way or another. Not real good. 👎

Why are people's doses of 7oh in mg much MUCH higher than just the leaf tea? Also it seems like some people are saying the withdrawl for kratom is longer than a regular opiate like H or oxys, why is that?

I made it a day and it sucked, wasn't unbearable but I just said fuck this and took some. I'm really wishing I hadn't taken people's advice and "stocked up" because now I'm just partying with it, starting tomorrow I'm gonna focus and either take little medicinal doses as needed and see how that works. Chances are I'm just lieing to myself and wil use as I see fit, I actually just take it and it's almost like I don't realize I'm taking it like how I'll light up a cig after just smoking one and like didn't even think about it until the deeds already done.

I can't do anything in excess now. I am battling headaches as well. 🙏🙏

I hope you will be alright. My mental battles are really slowing me down.

Now for the healing. Stay Strong bb.

It's not good to be stuck.

The withdrawals seem to get worse with time as well ?!

I hope you can get though. Really.

💟

Is that to me??
