As for different types of trips caused by the crystal, I believe that it stores intention, energy, and love during its life. Being exposed to positive energy and intentions aka love, gives it more of a personality imho. That could just all be made up bs but that is what I feel from it. As when I was a noob and still dealing with shady people with the wrong intention who sometimes get ahold of it etc those were the only times I had bad trips.

i see where you're coming from, but i don't really agree that a psychoactive substance can have 'personality'.

may i offer another way to look at the issue of getting bad trips from acid acquired though shady sources?
maybe they didn't didn't know what they were doing, so they didn't store it properly and it degraded.
that old chestnut "set and setting" can also account for a negative reaction.

so the other night my guy and i took around 600 mics of these microdots. now they were supposed to be the best of the best, straight from amsterdam, like ballin. our dealer who is a huge psychonaut, hadnt even take three of them yet.

so we take em, and my boy is sitting there talking about the wall melting away and turning into black holes and all these fractal patterns and how he feels like hes slipping away. all im getting is about an hour of fractals, then some light rainbows and some things breathing and moving, and then about 4 hours after i take it, they stop completely and thats it. no black holes nothing crazy nada.

i took 600 fucking mics, maybe more. acid in my opinion is very disappointing visual wise. now please dont sit here and tell me that the acid i took wasnt good enough or i didnt take enough. i smoked weed through out as well, and still didnt really get much. is it possible to have a natural tolerance and just not be effected by acid that much or what? any ideas? any one in the same boat as me?

But other than visuals, what effects did you get?
High dose LSD tend to produce a very noticeable body load, can potentially induce a rather strong nausea. All in all, the come-up should be rather uncomfortable, with often pretty overwhelming anxiety involved (if only for a short time). In short, you should FEEL it.

Also, were you able to communicate, maintain a coherent conversation? Because you shouldn't... High doses should make you autistic (from an external point of view).

If you had nothing of that, if you didn't feel it kicking your ass at some point, then you didn't take a strong dose. Simple as that.

Also, the effects your friend described don't necessarily indicate a strong dose either...
The melting wall thing are actually fractal patterns that aren't defined enough to be recognized as fractals. So you only see what appears to be breathing walls. On high doses, you don't get that "breathing wall" crap, fractals simply override your visual field...

Thats cool opinions can't really be supported so I don't take offense. However I can say I have tried many different types of psychedelics and most of the ones typically taken by humans. Most to all of them have noticeable differences even the different batches have some petty differences like amount of potency

Just to add to this superstitious peasantry, a chemical that emits white sparks of light while shaken together is something special. (something also I cannot verify by site)

Now for the person who said they cant see 80% pure l, dilution into liquid is cutting it... How do you think your blotter is laid the crystal just absorbs...Too take my point even further which I shouldn't have to but feel the need just to educate you a little more. Any chemical that is synthesized has a rate of purity after synthesis. Some chemists don't give a shit and go the extra mile and do multiple purification processes to get a completely pure product there for, what the chemist gets as end result is contaminated with isomers etc, meaning that there are different substances included in the weighing of your crystal l. This is also why there are names like needle point and white fluff because the different types of purity have extremely different looks. Needle point for example looks like very fine crystal shards Normally fairly opaque resembling the heads of a needle (which is "lab grade" (normally anything over 99.5% chemically pure), white fluff looks like little fluffy clouds or snowflakes, amber is amber colored, lavender is lavender colored.

Doesn't sound very likely funkmaster, I'm not sure how you get "80% pure LSD" in the first place to be honest - the idea of "80% pure" comes from something like heroin or cocaine where you can cut the cocaine with something else down the line. You can't cut LSD in the same way. It's usually on blotter fairly early in the process - once it's on the blotter you can't "cut" it. When you're making LSD it's either going to be LSD or it isn't.

Not made up exactly, it's just that LSD has a vast range of effects all by itself and varies wildly depending on your mood and your surroundings. If I gave you the "purest" LSD that's ever been made and then made you take it in a room full of shitten underpants, you'd have a "dirty" trip. If I gave you "impure" LSD and gave it to you beside a waterfall in Yellowstone National Park you'd have a clean trip.

That is honestly the worst explanation of how set and setting would affect a trip. Honestly it would depend upon my mindset in both situations, in the room full of shitten underpants as long as I had a place to sit, and water, I would be fine. I am able to control my emotions and thoughts well.
