Dirty Secret: Georgia is the Peach state, but most peaches are grown in South Carolina. Peach season is mind blowingly good, though. Its seriously only like 4 weeks long, too.

Lystra and I (and just about everybody else raised within earshot of a TV) are bereft of that delightful southern twang, but I do say Yall a good bit.

We had the Olympics, and most of you people didn't. I've been told it wasn't a good Olympics. I invite you people to kiss my ass.

No Alcohol sales on Sunday (sinner!)

We've got like 130 counties, probably because we had to gradually expel hostile creek indians from each one of them as we moved westward incrementally. The Cherokee indian removal (brought on by America's first gold rush, centered around Dahlonega GA) went swimmingly.

We've got this epically bad 360 painting called the cyclorama-- its supposed to be the largest painting in the world or something. They should do a squidbillies episode about it.

Atlanta was the last American City destroyed by war. You'd think that would create an excellent opportunity to lay out the streets in a grid. You'd be wrong.

Also, isn't he just adorable??
