Miprocin - First Time - Aura of Light
July 16, 2004
12mg of miprocin (4-Ho-MiPT, 4-hydroxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltrypytamine)
My partner and I had been planning a stay-at-home-and-make-love trip for some time. As the afternoon wound down, and the daylight faded, we ruled out our original choice (2C-B) in favor of trying miprocin. We find that phenethylamines, like 2C-B, go better with daylight; while the indolic psychedelics, such as tryptamines like miprocin, seem more suited for the nighttime.
I tend to be very sensitive to tryptamines, and small dosages usually affect me quite profoundly. My partner has had only three tryptamine experiences…all with psilocybin mushrooms. With that, plus fact that the compound was new to both of us, and because we had read of its somewhat intense nature…we decided to dose low; I took twelve milligrams while she took thirteen.
The miprocin came on very smoothly. It did not take, but, fifteen minutes for each of us to feel an alert. Initially, I felt a warm, cozy glow that reminded me both of a glass of wine, and a small dosage of MDMA. Then, colors became intensely bright and neon-like; sky-blues and aquamarines dominated the color-spectrum. Beautiful grid-like patterns and textures dominated with eyes closed. Most pleasing was the lack of nausea and speediness that many of the synthetic psychedelics produce.
By the forty-five minute point, there was enormous time dilation. I remember looking at the clock, noting the time, and looking again not five minutes later thinking at least a half-hour had passed. I felt “stuck”, but the feeling was more interesting that uncomfortable. By the one hour point, the trip reminded me mostly of psilocybin mushrooms; the humor, the colors, and the relaxed body-feeling of psychedelic fungi were all there.
While my love was fiddling with our water filter in the kitchen, I lay down and inhaled some nitrous oxide. The gas propelled me out of my body for what seemed like eternity, but was in actuality only about thirty seconds. Most notable from the nitrous oxide were the strange buzzing, harmonic noises I heard, which lingered for some time after the main effects of the gas wore off.
When my love came back into the room, we started kissing. As I kissed her, beautiful, sparkly, firework-like visuals were produced behind closed eye-lids. Kissing quickly led to more. Miprocin enhanced the erotic to an incredible degree, and it again reminded me very much of mushrooms. Making love was a true sensory delight. The sensations, the smells, the sight of my love’s naked body with an aura of light around her were almost overwhelming. I made love to her with animal-like passion. But I also felt intense feelings of love and empathy. The words, “I love you”, must have left my lips a hundred times.
At times, I was seized with absolute fits of hysteria. My laughter was uncontrollable. I actually started laughing once while my partner was trying to initiate love making. I was not laughing at her, but I did end up having to explain myself so as not to offend her. At times I was laughing so hard, it was difficult to catch my breath. All of this, again, reminded me very much of psilocybin mushrooms.
The effects lasted for several hours, gently tapering off into a warm after-glow. The comedown was very gradual, although we both noted color enhancement for some time…well after the main effects died off. There was no residual stimulation or any body load after the trip; once again reminding me of mushrooms. This was very welcomed. We made love one more time, and then went to sleep around six hours after taking the psychedelic. Sleep came easily.
Conclusion:
I was really impressed with miprocin. At the same time, I noted that of all the 4-substituted tryptamines I have tried...this one was (for me) identical to psilocybin in nearly every way. The body feeling, the visuals, the mental effects, everything! In a sense, this is a negative. What is there to recommend this material over psilocybin? I am hard-pressed to answer that.
The only thing I can come up with is that one does not have to eat the rank-tasting mushrooms. Barring that little detail, I see little with miprocin that would drive me to choose this over the fungi. I do look forward to experimenting with it again however, but at a larger dosage. Perhaps at higher levels, properties that are unique from psilocybin will become more apparent. Either way, it was a very enjoyable experience and I consider miprocin an excellent material.
