Anyone have any good info on this. I found this one study on its metabolism, but not much else>

R,S-3',4'-Methylenedioxy-alpha-pyrrolidinopropiophenone (MDPPP) is a new designer drug with assumed amphetamine-like effects, which has appeared on the illicit drug market. The aim of this study was to identify the MDPPP metabolites using solid-phase extraction, ethylation or acetylation as well as to develop a toxicological detection procedure in urine using solid-phase extraction, trimethylsilylation and GC-MS. Analysis of urine samples of rats treated with MDPPP revealed that MDPPP was completely metabolized by demethylenation of the methylenedioxy group followed by partial 3'-methylation of the resulting catechol, oxidative desamination to the corresponding diketo compounds and/or hydroxylation of the pyrrolidine ring with subsequent dehydrogenation to the corresponding lactam. The hydroxy groups were found to be partly conjugated. Based on these data, MDPPP could be detected in urine via its metabolites by full-scan GC-MS using mass chromatography for screening and library search for identification by comparison of the spectra with reference spectra.

Published literature is very scarce and deals mostly with analysis of metabolites for forensic purposes.

I can recommend as reading:
British patent: GB 1149366
US-patent: US 3478050

Both describe synth and the former gives a first hint for dosage (roughly around 10-20 mg). Action is stimulating but hypertensive properties are also reported. The patent states "low toxicity" compared known stimulants, but that's vague...

That is the same thing as MDPV except with an N,alpha-methyl group instead of an
N,alpha-(n)-propyl side chain. It looks like a winner.
 
Was sold in Germany as legal MDMA substitute (MDPPP) also, plain PPP emerged as a speed substitute. Both not illegal in Germany.
 
Sorry, should have said BOTH are illegal in Germany. They turned up in 2000-2001
 
^Sorry to be pedantic, but the two drugs were tested in two totally different studies.

With the pyrovalerone class, the 3,4 dichloro was the most active.
 
I know the man behind MDPV but the MDPPP was 7 years earlier, from a different study (after all, it's action is totally different) and from a different part of the world...

They were inspired by a bunch of 2003 studies, which sort of rules out the link....

Or is that too pedantic?
 
What reports of 3,4-methylenedioxy-alpha-pyrrolidinopropiophenone do we have except for urine metabolic detection material?

Surely most people here are expienced with MDPV or alpha-ppp are you not interest 3,4 a-ppp?
 
It's action is totally different. To me, MDPPP seems like a good bet, especially if 10-20mg is a good dose. I wonder if other ring substituants would produce something more.... trippy...
 
I wonder if the 3,4 dichloro analog is the strongest of the lot like with the pyrovalerones??
 
Does anyone know the dose or any more effects? Length of duration, amount of euphoria?
I am contemplating purchasing it, but I need some more information before I go for it.
 
I had a look around for quite a while but could not really find any trip reports on it.
Apparently it was used as an ingredient in imitation ecstacy pills in germany a couple of years ago.
I would start small with 2-3mg and then up the dose.
Dose range is probably in the area of MDPV or a bit more.
Will probably get a sample of that compound in a week or so.
I'll report back when I have more information.
 
I bet you're going to end up no less than 25mg, but yeah: whenever you start something new, you should start super low.
 
Heh, imagine hoffman's suprise when he started 'super super low' at 500mcg
 
Yeah, given the potency of MDPV, I'd say no more than 100ug for a first try, unless you can find someone elses experience out there. Even if it was 2x as potent as MDPV, you'd be fine at this dose, and that seems especially unlikley.

With LSD, he was taking something entirely unknown, no idea of what sort of potency to expect, that's not true of these.
