If i mixed tramadol and zoloft, would i be at a high risk for seizures or serotonin syndrome considering both doses are relatively low
Long answer no with an if, short answer yes with a but...
It's not recommended. Serotonin Syndrome isn't fun and there's no way for us to know your specific body chemistry so there is a chance. Seizures I doubt would be of more concern than SS.
That said, I've mixed 20mg lexapro with 300mg dxm (DO NOT DO THIS) and never suffered from it, but my body seems to be able to take any fucked up shit I can throw at it and had I known the dangers then I wouldn't have attempted it.
So, in those small doses its not likely, but I wouldn't chance it. Especially for 150mg of tramadol which in my opinion wouldn't produce a euphoric state worthy of said risks involved.
I'd say wait at least a day or two to let the zoloft flush out. I take lexapro and one day off can let me use DXM in high doses without problems, but again, YMMV and we don't know your sensitivity to these things.
I wouldn't advise it at all. Bin the tramadol and get some codiene or kratom or something.

I took Effexor XR and tramadol together and ended up on life support, heart and breathing stopped numerous times, Glasgow Coma Scale so low the doctors said to my family there was practically no hope and that if I somehow did come out of the coma I would be so brain-damaged from lack of oxygen I would be a low-watt gurgler.
So yeah only take an SSRI/SNRI + tramadol if you have a death wish.
Check the "Bluelight Shrine" out to see a young bloke who died from this (he took the two, went to bed and never woke up).
It's just not worth it.
Personally I think taking anything that induces the release of lots of serotonin while on an SSRI/SNRI is just asking for trouble, this includes ecstacy, DXM, etc.
Please re-think your decision.
PS: I don't think 27 hours is enough time to reset your neurochemistry from an SSRI. When I came off Effexor, it took weeks (although I know Zoloft has a shorter half-life).
*EDIT: I just realized I got it mixed up, zoloft has a longer half-life. Even more reason to re-consider.
FineHow'd it go?
That doesn't mean you have a death wish, since you at least came here for advice first and waited 27 hrs between them. (or was it 36 hrs?)I guess i have a death wish, i took them together
Very glad to hear thatFine
It went fine.
Just because it went fine this time, does not mean it will another or the next after that, and so on. I am with AminoAcid about how dangerous the combination is, even though it is not unheard of in the practice of medicine. It really is, though, VERY dangerous. A bit over a day without Zoloft is not sufficient to clear your system of it, for it has been dosed constantly, and although the half-life may not be terribly long as say Prozac, if there is enough in your blood it can be an issue, and a serious issue, too. An example of how half-life is not everything is how I once took 2.5 mg Xanax, a benzo with a pretty short half-life, but at that point I had no tolerance, and even though a lot of the drug was cleared, a lot was not, and there was enough for me to still feel the effect for well over a day. I am stressing - leave lots of time in between. But, I will also say, why bother going through that stopping SSRI's for days to take tramadol, just leaving your serotonin activity in havok in the end. It just doesn't make sense. If you want to remain on an SSRI, which CAN be helpful for some, fine, but I would not then advise playing with tramadol even if you have temporarily stopped taking the SSRI. A lot of danger, a lot of unhealthiness, and possibly some serious dysphoria depending. I would just not do the tramadol if you are on an SSRI. I have been there with SSRI's and other serotonergics, and it is NOT worth it. I was never harmed, thank god, but I very well could have been.
I just started zoloft a week ago. Its not very built up anyway
