some great action yesterday...
  • pats look weak but still managed to get by the eagles
  • oakland looking in command at home - another solid win and a great day by their defense (against an admittedly weak team)
  • drama in the pit vs. cle game and a big win for cle
  • great win by the bills who look legit
  • amazing comeback by the vikings!
  • jets getting in a groove
  • atlanta with another impressive win against a division rival
  • baltimore crushing
  • san francisco rolling against a team who've traditionally had their number
love love love football :)

^ sf had a pretty impressive comeback as well.

I think the only way we have a prayer of making the playoffs is to win the rest of our games. but now Kyle throws like 3 red zone interceptions per game so I'm not getting my hopes up.

^ yeah, right now that seems like a strong bet for the sb.

but there's a ways to go - one injury can change everything - and it's hard to rule out the pats, chiefs, seahawks, packers and saints. i think it'll be 2 of those 7 teams.

Panthers have to have the record for choking at the end of games.

Dead serious, there's been probably 20 games the past few seasons where we were within a hair of winning. We get stopped an inch short of the goal line. We miss a kick as time expires. The other team makes a kick as time expires.

Fucking Slye... beating NO would have been a nice consolation prize...no playoffs for us

man oh man i love football!
  • a grim slog in new england but the pats go to 10-1 and people are starting to ask questions about jason garrett
  • the mercurial bucs get a solid win on the road against a division rival (thank goodness i drafted chris godwin!)
  • bills rolling
  • jets and sam darnold looking good
  • raiders look awful
  • ryan tannehill!
  • 49ers make a big statement

honestly, i don't care very much about any team in the nfc but i think the bucs have a lot of talent and promise but they seem pretty good at losing games they should win and winning games they should lose :)

my picks? i picked them to beat the saints last week and they lost. i picked them to lose this week and they won.

i know nothing :)

Allot of good points here.

Patriots cup cake schedule may be a regular season gift, but I see you guys out of the playoffs first game you play.

Its good to see the Bills with a legit team once again.

I agree the SF made a big statement. We came out with an offensive scheme designed to deal with that D line. Some old school packer stuff mixed with some new stuff. Well SF D said NO that's not going to work so try and screen and shovel and novel around our D line attack.. meanwhile while that fails our offense is going to roll points. we came out flat but prepared and looked like monkies fucking a football. 105 yards outa Rodgers. He overthought it and we failed at establishing and stopping the run. If we want to be able to push post season we had better figure some things out against that team.

I know their on your radar for some reason

i have family near tampa so i expect that's a factor...

maybe. everybody said the pats were done last year - too old, too slow, too whatever. it worked out ok :)

if the playoffs started today, the pats would get a first round bye then probably play the chiefs at home in the divisional round. in week 6 last year, the pats played the chiefs in a great game. everybody said it was the passing of the torch from brady to mahomes. everybody said the road to the superbowl will go through arrowhead and the pats can't win on the road and certainly can't beat the chiefs at arrowhead. well, the afc championship game was pats vs. chiefs at arrowhead and it worked out ok :)

agreed.

It's not just a regular season gift, it's a postseason gift too. You don't have to play as hard, less injuries, more energy. Get to play on home field.

Right but if your not facing top notch play regularly. I get that the Patriots regularly secure top tier talent looking for more.. or that unfound glory.. and The Coach .. but does that lead where they need to be this year?
