if it is not, i'm throwing all my weight on the left. may get involved in some rioting.
 
It will be interesting to see what happens with the marijuana thing. I can't see it winning him any popularity if he goes through with it. I think even remotely going after states that have legalized will not work well for him.
 
^ I think he will remain president, and possibly get re-elected as long as he doesn't blow up the world or get into any big wars. He may be stupid as far as policy, government, and social skills....but he is very good at knowing how to impress the average low-intelligence american voter. He knows very well how to play into people's selfishness and racism and use it to his advantage...I just don't see anyone being able to compete with that no matter how smart or accomplished they are as a politician. He destroyed ted cruz who is the slickest lawyer I've ever heard speak, he destroyed hillary (the most accomplished and knowledgable politician). Trump knows how to play americans like a fiddle no matter how stupid he might seem to more intelligent folk

the dems have lost their way and shown no sign of being interested on getting the middle class more jobs. All they are interested in is crying racist and talking about transgenders, letting gang members stay in the country, and letting muslims in and turning this into europe....they don't seem to care whatsoever about creating jobs for americans.

I've been a democrat my whole life, and I still side with the ideology, but the party's refusal to do some good for its own country and middle class, and elect ppl like hillary, is wearing very thin on me

Are you saying that they are bad for electing Hillary for their run or that Hillary didn't get elected for president?

I am seeing the same thing with the parties. Both sides are out of touch on real issues that people are concerned about. Democrats/progressives deny the issues with mass immigration and mixing of and clashing of cultures. They refuse to call terrorism by Muslims Islamic Terrorism, and Obama said it has nothing to do with Islam. I think Hillary was on board with that as well. Sure, she may have kept people complacent on some level, but there would be a boiling of the pot, that had a lid on it, and it would be harder to hold down as time went on.

Trump I considered, in ways , ike electing to jump in the boiling water as a frog instead of in the warm, not yet boiling water of Hillary, that would cook us- that we would be pacified into.

Both sides are disingenuous. And that Dems/progressives have a platform that is so politically correct, this will sabotage them like this last election. Trump tapped into fears that people have of globalisation, mass migration, and Islam, none of which are irrational for a human to be concerned with (and doesn't require hate). The Democrats continued pushing ideas like mass immigration, and open borders, and playing into the narrative of Black Lives Matter, and etc.

I'm not saying I agree with Trump, or think he is a good leader of our country, but I can definitely see why he was elected over the alternative.

I'm still not sure if he was actually the better choice.

Yes I believe there is absolutely no solution to integrating christian/islamic faiths because one teacher peace and love, while the other espouses child rape, female genital mutilation, the enslavement of women, Islam teaches men to rape young boys, Islam teaches to murder the non believers. Islam teaches each follower to kill non believers and to equate women with bovine cattle.

You literally have no when you daughter your great granddaughter is in a full burka getting beat and gang raped by her husband's male family on a daily basis, you will know then.

As for demolishing clinton in the debates - you're kidding right?

Failing another catastrophic war (which i think we can count on, at this stage), i expect the trump administration to plunge the US and the rest of the world into a serious recession.

^ I wasn't referring to the debates, I was referring to his beating her at rallying support of the middle class and those in the middle of the spectrum. which is all that matters when it comes to getting to run the country.

The dems won't be able to compete anymore barring some catastrophe of war or economics caused by the gop.

they can't compete because

1. they refuse to play into ppls hate and selfishness, which are much stronger emotions and more prevelant that empathy and tolerance. its just a fact and if they don't acknowledge it they will never win again

2. they refuse to focus on job creation. and instead focus on PC bullshit.
 
We needed this shake up badly. Lucid you are right about all the obfuscating through identity politics. It's pathetic and has done a lot of harm to America.
If they go after pot I'm gonna start losing faith myself, but I didn't want sessions for that very reason. We need a third party badly to better represent America.
I just saw that 1984 is being promoted by the left wing hard right now, as though that is not exactly what they want. It cracks me up bc with communism, essentially what 1984 is about, you know what they say it's a 180 of what they report. The affordable care act, makes health care unaffordable for the majority. All political correctness is thought policing ffs.
