2012 PGA thread v. green jackets and slow greens

Dont watch golf very often but Tiger is a loser, he always is so condecsending(sp) in his tone even when he is clearly in the wrong. And he still refuses to even mention the whole adultery incident, its always "if you want to ask me questions about my swing ill answer them". I hope he continues to fail horribly

He shouldnt have to answer about the affairs though. Its nobody elses business. And to be honest, does anyone really give a shit about his adultery? Plenty of Sports Stars, Actors, Public figures, even Presidents have gone through it, just like the everyday man on the street. As a golf fan, i dont care what he does in his private life.

He needs a reality check. His attitude/personality in general is disgusting. He's in a league of his own when it comes to arrogance and childishness. And the funny thing is, golf fans all over the world still want to see him back to his best, challenging on a Sunday no matter how rude or abrupt he comes across.

yea, who does tiger owe an explanation to about fucking a bunch of whores?

i could care less what he does. i'd like to see him playing better golf though. he's fun as fuck to watch.

i actually back up tiger in that aspect

athlete's personal lives should be kept private, any correspondent who asks questions about personal lives is a disgrace to sports journalism

at the same time i do fucking love me some juicy sports tabloid type stories

it's fun watching other people's lives impload. but the tiger story got old real fast.

god, he looked like shit this weekend. i bet he misses the cut at the british.

i think some links golf is what he needs - i think he performs well at the open
considering not being able to find a fairway is one of his biggest struggles at the moment

missing the cut at the US open is awesome, realistic idea though

i'm with cs. golf is better when tiger woods is playing well. his immature antics are disappointing though. he needs to get his head in the game.

alasdair

i like going into a tournament knowing that about 25 guys have an equal chance at winning

fuck one vs. the field bullshit

i like it too....but with this new generation of bad ass golfers, i don't see it being as lopsided. i'd just like to see him in contention to win, along with the others.

he is in contention

he's among that 25

he did just win the arnold palmer invite - that's not exactly a boyscout charity event

i'm gonna post this here as well, cuz it's allsum

the guy who caught ooustheizen's double eagle ball donated it to augusta

class move, i would have done the same thing - i find very little value in sports memorabilia

i've caught foul balls before and both times i gave it to a young child sitting near me, feels good man

i want to catch a home run ball in right field in pittsburgh and turn around and throw it in the river

i think i'd win an ESPY for my effort

also, jose maria olazobel was pulled over in rural GA doin 97 in a 65, $671 fine and they took a mug shot, lol

GA cops are pussies who were more than likely bullied as children

I doubt he would've been so keen to donate it had Oosthuizen won. They said during the broadcast somebody was offering $20,000 for the ball if Louis went on to win the Masters.

my hard on for steve elkington just got slightly larger

i was watching a replay of that lame ass morning talk show on the golf channel and they were interviewing bubba and asked if anyone out of the ordinary congratulated him
he said yeah, steve elkington (than he started crying, lol)

'back when i first came on the tour he looked me and my caddy in the eye and told us that i would be a car salesman in 2 years'

^^^^awesome

i wonder if augusta will let that dude play the course that donated the ball. seems fair. i'd take a round or two at augusta over 20k any day of the week.

knowing augusta they prob just gave him a cap and maybe a caddie's book

i've heard that interns who land positions there never actually even get to see the course, they just do slave work within a warehouse

that makes me love augusta even more.

World Junior Champ, 13 year old Guan Tian-lang is teeing off in the Volvo China Open later on. All he was looking forward to all week was getting to meet Ian Poulter. Kid needs some new advisors.

this field for the tpc san antonio(pretty cool course imo) this weekend is extremely watered down

probably cause texas is a shit hole

oh well, can still be interesting
