2012 major league baseball thread v. Playoffs make baseball watchable

^ Really? I guess I kinda feel bad for them since they have been playing in the shadow of the Yankees for a while now, with their only chance of hope being the subway series back in 2000, but of course they were embarrassed by losing the series 4-1.

bro, i'm a braves fan. i fucking hate the mets. and we just swept the shit out of them. huge series straight out of the allstar break, and ben sheets, who we just activated, pitched his first game in two years on sunday. and pitched a gem.

baseball is now interesting since the allstar break is over. braves have a big series with the nats this weekend. need to get past the care giants this week though.

not right now considering its 1-1 with the dodgers best hitters coming up with Bastardo pitching

now Kyle Kendrick against Matt Kemp, this is bad news

Omg the neverending inning. Ive seen the same ad for Cherry Hill Jeep like 4 times

but as Cliff Lee would say "well thats baseball"

god dammit if Freddy Galvis was playing he would have made that throw to beat out Kemp at first. Instead we got an overpaid Jimmy Rollins who isnt getting any younger and isnt hitting his salary. Now I have to watch another inning of this dredge

in other news the pirates are still 11 games over .500

please go out and sign a corner outfielder and maybe a starting pitcher....

james mcdonald, still trust in him and he got the win today, but last two starts have been his worst all season, i think not making the all star team he deserved to be on affected him, he's still 10-3 with a sub 3.00 era

mccutchen went 0-4 tonight, still hitting .369...neil walker went hittless too....and holy shit they still scored 9 runs

Giants are doing well too!

2.5 games over the dodgers leading the division.

Best of all, Tim Lincecum has had 2 games in a row where he looked like his old self. If Lincecum returns to his old form the Giants will have one of the scariest pitching rotations in baseball. As well as some good potential hitting the ball. Cabrera, Posey and Sandoval is a nasty heart of their lineup, hopefully they can all stay healthy.

The last time I mentioned the Tigers in this thread their ship started to sink.

But I'm fighting superstition.

The central division is in their pocket.

Yankees got Ichiro

like 3 years too late, but I guess he will do ok in that lineup

Big series between the Phils and the Braves coming up

Hamels resigned for an obscene amount, Ive never seen so much money spent on pitchers (Hamels, Lee, Papelbon, Halladay, shit even Joe Blanton is eatin good)

also Carlos "Chooch" Ruiz is my new favorite Phillie, dude is killin it this year

56-42 oh how well you look on paper this time of year

RAISE the fucking jolly roger again boys

why not now?
