2012 - 2013 Football Thread

Just watching the Villa highlights now. That second goal was fantastic, Benteke's backheel without even looking where the other player would be.

Manchester clubs both looked comfortable in their games. United played some really good football at times. Cleverley turning into a fine player. Newcastle all of a sudden are only a few points clear of the bottom 3....

That backheel for Villas second goal was indeed a touch of class, always great seeing that sort of move on the pitch.

United will beat Real. Ronaldo will lose it for them. He won't be able to resist trying to beat United on his own - how could he? Playing at one of the best clubs in England, at his old club, where the fans still sing his name. At a ground where his namesake got a standing ovation after scoring a hat-trick the last time Madrid played there. He'll want to show that he deserves to be considered in the same breath as that short Argentinian guy.

He'll do what he did against Barcelona in the CL final a few years back - go for the glory, go for the solo goal. Never track back. Never help the team. United will play as a team, will get FBs forward to support the wingers, RvP will do the rest. Rooney will run himself into the ground attack and defence. That'll be the difference. [Disclaimer: Ronaldo will probably score a hat-trick and United will lose].

Porto v Malaga is the stand out tie for me:)

Not joking either , tempted to try & get to the Malaga home game. I've been to La Rosaleda before & it's a good ground right in the middle of the city. Amazing Hot Dogs as well.
If they still did Bristol to Porto flights i would be on it in a shot .

Ipswich had a 1-1 draw with Bristol today. The amount of goals that Ipswich & Bristol have let in is terrible.
Do we have a defence playing for us,doesn't seem like it sometimes.

Great idea, never tried the hot dogs but liked the ground and crowd. If both are still the same, could maybe work a winter break around the game. Do you know the price and availability of tickets and if there's a need to pre-book?

On Wednesday, March 13th, by when the Malaga weather should provide another reason to get away..here's hoping for affordable tickets and bargain basement fares from Easyjet.

anybody wath the Swansea v Man Utd game, some cracking football by both sides plus the Swansea players attitude and work rate is unbelivable. some of the QPR squad should take note.

Yeah, love Swansea. Actually, Swansea is a bit of a shithole but this team are something else. Can't help hoping those two points dropped cost United the title.

ABU.

Yeah, impressed by Swansea to get back into it after United were dominating at the start. United should have won but that's life. What the hell was up with Rooney? Did he realise that United were playing in red?

every christmas he is shite, reckon he went on the piss and a bit hung over. good to see Vidic back even if he was a yard slower than the rest.

I must have been watching a different game 'cos I thought Utd were very poor bar Michael Carrick. Great save by Vorm. Premier League is so poor this year.

And what the fuck is baconface shitting on about! He wants Ashley Williams up on attempted murder charges. He's some donut.

ye had to laugh, the most dangerous thing he has ever seen on a football pitch. reckon if he was for sale he would still buy him.

0-0 for your boys yesterday, stoke keeper made some save at the death.

Well Sturridge to Liverpool looks like a done deal.

Sods law that as soon as Daniel leaves and we are linked with a Radamel Falcao signing in the winter window that Fernando starts to look like the Torres of old.

Edited- If Lamps is leaving in the window, nice goal for a sendoff
