Remember when Dortmund beat a heavily fancied Juve with Zidane et all in CL final . Also beat Man Utd in the Semi's i think .

Lars Ricken Yeah he was the kiddie that K'oed Man You n KH Riddle done Juve in the Final . Bean a long time but they are most certainly back .

Strange to see old Stockport County Manager Jimmy Gannon working as a car sales person, took stockport to league 1 and now they have just been relegated from the Blue Square premier into the north division, hopefully they will stay afloat. Some of my best times at county matches as a kidm they used to give all local schools free tickets every week.

Jurgen Klopp is a great coach, awesome side he's managed to build, such a shame the vultures are already starting to rip it apart.

Dortumund are a breath of fresh air in today's football that has been poisoned by money, greed and tv.

They are what football is supposed to be about, huge home support, affordable tickets, standing areas, home grown talents.

Read this quote from the Guardian:

"The atmosphere seems absolutely incredible - a reminder to Premier League club chairmen everywhere that this is what happens when you make ticket prices affordable to the kind of people who actually get a kick out of making noise and having fun at football matches."

This a million time, German football with its rules about ownership and ticket prices is an example. I so agree with this.

If German football is on the rise, football fans around Europe should rejoice, personally I despise Spanish football, the duopoly, the fact that Real and Barca hoard up all the tv money leaving the rest of the league with the crumbs, all the other clubs are heavily indebted and cannot compete, weakining the league. Plus the way they behave is revolting, the cheating, diving, surrounding the ref, asking for cards to be shown to opposition players, the low-handed tactics, nauseating they are at football. I can only hope that spanish football goes bankrupt and becomes an irrelevance.

Queens Park Rangers have a higher wage bill than Borrusia Dortmund.

Chris Samba for QPR earns more than any player at Borussia.,,,

puts it into perspective.

The Premier League is non-sustainable financially, even though the tv revenue is huge, clubs are paying way too much in wages, I think for some clubs it's like 80% of overall revenue, that's not a viable financial model, in no other business sector it would be possible.

I really do hope that the financial fair play regulations will be enforced and have some effect.

QPR is a joke, their wages are much higher than most of Serie A as well, seriously out of this world. Glad they're getting relegated.

Im glad QPR go down, just for the way the players were cheering and celebrating with the Man City players after they rolled over,

that and the fact they have a horrible thing going on over the club. Spend a shit load of money on ageing-overpriced players and hope for the best? Cant just stick a team of players togethor and hope for results...

Anyway currently watching the fenerabche benfica game, benfica getting dominated. fener hit the post 3 times

he should have been banned for a season

Your username offends my stomach:)

Suarez is a dick but surely the ban is excessive, Ivanovic was not hurt in any way, Aguero's tackle last week was much worst.

I think he should leave England and ply his trade in a country where the media won't be obsessed with him, that's the whole point, trashy tabloids on a personal crusade against him. All there is to it.

He was going to leave anyway .

No way is a player that good going to fester @ The Bin dippers . Flesh eater or not the bloke is a Champions League Player . T

Maybe he did it on purpose to engineer move ?
Think about it did the same at Ajax .:sus:

It's not far fetched actually, could easily have been the case. The guy is definately bothered by how he is seen by the supporters, his involvement with the Hillsbourough foundation, his comments, he probably doesn't want to be seen as a traitor, so he makes his position unsustainable.

In all honesty he does deserve to play at the highest level

: ) nothing wrong with a few coors light ;). biting is scummy though. if he had thrown a punch then i would have thought ok hes just lashing out. but instead he does what a little pussy does. great player but its not on considering what the fucker is paid.

Ben Thatcher got 8 games for nearly killing Mendes a few years ago. Suarez's ban is excessive, and the FA had no consistency in their decisions. How has Giroud been banned for 3 games for his tackle last week?

One more from Real and they go through.

Wouldnt count against it, in the 80's they lost 5-1 away to Borussia Moenchengladbach in the UEFA cup

Only to win 4-0 at the Bernabeau and go through on away goals( on the way to winning the cup)

Time to invest in 80000 stonewashed denim jackets wholesale price to flog at trafalger sq , the Germans are coming to Wembley.

Agreed SHM if Higuain didnt do a Torres impression , Real would have gone through .

Not sure about that Mats Hummels, he looked dodgy against Shakhtar and again last week, and didnt look great tonight. Not sure why he is so highly rated

Delighted for Dortmund. Even though they may lose their best players this summer, they are a quality team, built for not much cash compared to the teams they are beating in this competition. Too many chokers in that Madrid team anyway

Before everyone annoints them as the model for youth development people need to realise Dortmund nick players just like any other team.

Subotic was basically stolen from Mainz stolen by Klopp when he moved , Dortmund didnt "Develop" him
Sven Bender was another one who was nicked from 1860 Munchen when he was 16 years old, much in the way Arsenal tend to nick players from Barcelona
They also paid £15 million for Reus

Lets not pretend Dortmund do anything different to Real Madrid, they dont, they buy players as well, just on a different scale.

Bayern shouldnt really get too much stick either for signing Gotze, the lad was born in Bavaria , has admitted he grew up a massive Bayern fan and now wants to move back to his boyhood club,

Who can begrudge him that?

Everyone waxes lyrical about Bayern as well, but apart from Thomas Muller, Schweinsteiger and Lahm , none of their players are from Bavaria

Their future icon and captain Kroos is East German
