2011 MLB predictions add yours

My Rangers have the best offense in baseball. 9-4 over Boston. Good opening day!

Oh, and how about number 7 David Murphy? Best bench player in the game?
 
dont care what anyone says boston sucks. crawford went 0-4 today witch made me happy lol. but rays lost opening day to the o's :( lmao
 
Boston has the second best line up in the game. All of baseball I think only texas has a more feared lineup. Boston has Jon Lester John lackey Josh Beckett Clay Buchholz and Diasuke Matsuzaka. That is an awesome foursome. A bit weak in the bullpen. Papelbon isn't what he was 2 years ago, same for Dan wheeler. But defense is great, offense, and starting rotation. They will win the east.
 
see you cant always go off paper man. intangibles are more important. boston will not win the east. MAYBE the wildcard if theyre lucky. they just wont do it. i know it. you know it. the world knows it. cause its boston. i mean come on,, lol. when do they win?
 
if the Marlins pick up Jack Mckeon as their interim manager, I'm changing my prediction from Phillies to Fish.
 
1-18 actually, but this is an aberration. The team is underachieving. Mckeon joined the club under similar circumstances in 2003 and took them all the way.

Next season, they're getting Guillen.
 
Well, no worries. I'm a Tribe fan and after their reign as the best team in baseball for a while... they've come crashing down to reality pretty hard. They're still in pretty good position in their division, but considering they had a 7 game lead at one point... this shit's almost unbearable! I really hope they get back onto their winning ways soon. They've lost far too many games in the month of June.

I'm a huge Tribe fan too. But I'm definitely worried. They're still #1 in their division, and I believe #3 in the AL, but still worried. I'm glad they've won the last 3, they really needed it. Such a young team still, I think good things are finally coming within the next couple years for us.
 
^ Couldn't agree more. I'm just happy they got that huge lead to start out. Nobody expected that kind of run from such a young and inexperienced team. Just when people started believing they were the real deal, they went on a huge skid. I'm worried too, but if they can so much as level this ship, I think they'll be ok. They just made a change with their hitting coach. We'll see how that goes.
 
Totally. I made sure, even when they were in first place in the AL earlier on this season, that I set no expectations for them yet. Of course I would like to see them being competitive in the post season, but I don't want to set myself up for disappointment lol. I have higher expectations set for the next couple years though. But hell, if they can play like this one year after last seasons nightmare, then I can't wait to see what they'll do within the next few years.
