I was happy at 6-2; brought back memories of the League Cup all those years ago. I'll settle for the extra couple of goals though. :)

Just goes to show what happens when you sell the heart and soul of your team. Crazy. Good day for De Gea though - he needed that.

Aquilani does not want to play for Liverpool. An undoubted talent, but not comitted to LFC. He hasn't even been warming the bench.

Not true, his agent is a total twat and is the one who's been pushing him to move, probably cause he gets a percentage of the transfer money, Aquilani made an interview on Italian telly after he scored the winner against Spain, saying he was honoured to play for Liverpool and eager to play and wished the coach would give him a chance.

Also I know Raul is an amazing player, he's a great midfielder, I might have worded my last post bad if it came out I didn't rate him.

Downing is a great signing, Adam is good too, I don't have that much faith in Henderson to be honest, and as far as Carrol goes I have a feeling that Commoli and Dalglish woke up one morning like in the movie The Hangover and went like "we bought who for that??"

He's just 3 million cheaper than Aguero.

Btw I've been a Liverpool and Torino FC supporter since elementary school, I'm now 27, always followed the two clubs, used to go to blighty very often since a very young age.

Wow today we saw more goals in the Premier League than in half a season of Serie A, guess my mates will now understand why I follow foreign football more, the Arsenal match was amazing, never seen so many goals scored in one game.

The thing I like about Man U is that they have a great academy, Ferguson is such a great manager and has the balls of trusting young players and play them, great passing, great skills, such a wonderful match, I'll guess I'll head over to Ladbrokes and put some money on them winning the PL again.

Man City played well too, their goals were lovely to watch, however I hate the Chelsea/Man City sugar daddy way of obtaining success, at least Man U invest on the youth.

Lovely day overall, I'm also fucked up and been jumping up and down.

Was pissing myself laughing at THFC this morning getting spanked 5-1 by CITY.
Just watched UNITED tear ARSENAL a brand new arse hole , and feel sick at how poor we are. 8-2 WTF ?
Utd & CITY both look very , very good.

I should take a screenshot of my facebook page right now all the Manc lads are going crazy, comments are hilarious.

If it's City fans commenting, then they'll most likely be Stockport, Rochdale, Oldham or Bolton lads. ;)

Sorry for the double post, but if you have 45 minutes to spare watch this documentary, is well put together, as usual from Al Jazeera.

True, football clubs are not at the center of their communities anymore, investments have globalised them, in a way I think they also globalised their fan base, which isn't necessarly a bad thing, as this summer's Asian tours of most European teams show, true it was about the money, but some fans in Southeast Asia got to enjoy some games, which is also great.

Can't wait for the article on The Guardian, the comments are gonna be juicy.

Also am I the only one who spends hours reading comments on articles about football, a coworker told me it was weird.

I do, and I really don't know why. It just puts me in a bad mood. I hate 90% of what other football fans have to say about football, yet I always go back to doing it, goal.com being the worst culprit (the articles and the comments are so so bad) =D

Wow just woke up from last night headed straight to the pub from the united game... what a match probably the most entertaining ive been to in a long while, the atmosphere was great i dont half feel sorry for wenger though arsenal took an absolute spanking...

and as someone said... id 8-2 be an arsenal fan

I know what you mean, no matter what the topic is, it usually turns into a flamefest between Man U and Pool fans on how much silverware they have.

We rejected 8mil plus Yossi back for Meireles. Good call imo. I like Meireles. He's solid.

Yossi wanted to move on to bigger things, he shouldn't be welcomed back, I also hear he was instrumental in the Torres move. Meireles is absolute class and links extremely well with Suarez, it would be a real shame to see him leave. Plus we have depth and midfield and should keep things like this, thinning out the squad is never really a good idea.

I also hear he was instrumental in the Torres move.

Not sure about that but if its true then he's just moved up a notch in my estimation. Although it didn't seem like it at the time it was the best thing to happen us for ages. And 50mil.. dancer! =D

Not a bad little player either, Yossi.
