More to do with the players around him? Fuck knows gets asked all the time, could say the same about rooney but I dunno hes in form or hes fucking shite, a lot of players play alot better for there clubs, but real good players like zidane do both %)
 
Playing with two of the greatest midfielders of our generation Xavi and Iniesta since hes 14, not to mention the other Spaniards has a lot to do with it. Imagine if he had opted to play for Spain? He was granted Spanish Citizenship the same year he made his debut for the national team.

The levels of expectation are through the roof at this stage. People have been putting Messi down and saying he cant do it with Argentina for a few years but he's only 24. He looked pretty comfortable for them last week banging in a hat-trick and 22 goals, 20 assists from 67 apps isnt too bad.

2006 World Cup Messi barely got a game, and 2008-2010 having Maradona in charge was hardly ideal. Mad bastard even brought 37 year old Martin Palermo along and played him. Leaving Zanetti and Cambiasso at home and playing Gutierrez right back was cuntyballs behaviour though.

Some wont be happy until he wins a World Cup. 2 more chances anyway.
 
UTD getting a spanking tonite v Athelic Bilbao,the Basque team know how to pass and play football.there a joy to watch except there beating my team.

the 7000 fans they brought having a fun time.
 
Just wanna say I dont get a chance to watch many English football matches living in the US and all but I randomly picked Nottingham Forest as the team Id root for since I have no connection to any team really. They aren't doing too well this year though :(
 
Amazing Utd finished the game only one down. A true lesson in football handed out.

Dads army and co will be having nightmares about facing Bilbao in their place!

15 brilliant Basque players from an area with a population of just 3 million ripping to shreds a slow, overpaid aging team, aging manager out of their depth in the Europa League. Incredible. More enjoyable than watching Barca.

Amazing performance from a pretty average Sporting Team .

The Alvavalde was really jumping n to think they did it with only 9 proper outfield players ( The Dutch Centre Forward was more of a hindrance ) .

Modric and Bale in for Scholes n Giggs next season will bring our age down a small bit.

what you going to do when harry goes on england duty and Sven gets the spurs job.

yeah they don't have a all Basque policy any more all though it is encouraged .

Basque are Proud people hence their fight for independence from the rest of Spain then theirs the Terrorism n eta but we won't go their.

Maybe not but you take Bale, VDV and Parker out of the midfield last week and UTD win playing badly or not. Everytime Spurs have lost ive been on here and criticized their failings, its easy to do. You get used to it being a Spurs fan. UTD werent far away from full strength last night. It just confirmed how far behind the premier league has fallen unless you listen to Sky. A basque team assembled for 30 million embarrassing UTD.

Giggs and Scholes might be the ones you need to keep Bogman. Anderson, Rafael, Evans, Fabio, Park, Hernandez showed how much ye have gone backwards. Wasnt too long ago Phil Jones was being touted as the next England captain. Maybe Fergie has finally lost his marbles.

Pogba just signed a contract with Juventus cos UTD wont pay him 15k a week. Do you really believe UTD(500 million in debt) will go out this summer and spend 70-80 million on 2 midfielders in a year they were knocked out of Europe?

Feel for them, as I have traveled literally through all of Spain, studied there for awhile, and can say that it is almost like a different country there, fuck the language (Euskara) has non Latin or Greek origin, go figure... Oh well a discussion for another time not in this thread.

Watched the game and won easy enough, could have being 4 or 5 but WBA had a good shout for a peno when it was 1-0.

city well below par and Swansea played very well, they missed a peno and a few clear cut chances.

Good point how many eadders go to games every second week as active supporters rather than passive sky consumers, tv packaged football bores the hell out of me, fat cunts in replicas on barstools shouting at a tv about a team from a city they nowt about depresses me.
