2011-2012 football thread

wish i was in Amesterdam for the wend.good strong UTD team out plus Ajax not the force they use to be.

reckon it could get tasty tonite with over 70 dutch lads arrested already = not all ajax fans either.

with out rangers soon there will be no celtic.if one club goes then the tv company will pull the plug on there money.some of the smaller clubs survive on that and the two big clubs coming to town.

imo if they go out of business i give the SPL 2 years before it folds.what then for the glasgow giants = join the irish leagues or non league in england.
not much money to be made there.

Why not kill two birds and start down the bottom of the English leagues with the aim of working up to the epl? Even with a completely new company/administration it will take at least four years to get back on their feet. At least the crowds would keep them well ahead of most English lower league teams, and they could simply organize 3 "friendlies" against Celtic every season for an extra money spinner.

correct me if im wrong but if ye join non league your 3-4-5 leagues away from the getting into the league then 3 leagues before the PL.

that could be 6 to 8 years before you got into the money.

dont think it will go to that and some how things will get sorted with rangers = loyalist paramilitary groups go on the rob =D

good win for UTD even if shite for the 1st half, should be into next rd

Just start your reserve team in non league and keep plugging away in the SPL. A club the size of rangers should able to speed through to the leagues even at half budget. 6 years is a fair punishment for going so far into debt and essentially walking away from it.

Looking at the state of the SPL these days, i think Celtic and Rangers would struggle to get out of the Championship in England. Go back 6 or 7 years they would've done alright but not now. Some dreadful players playing for them.

Huge blow for Utd, Valencia is out for 4 weeks. Nani isn't fit to lace his boots. "Shit Michael Jackson. You're just a shit Michael Jackson. Shit Michael Jaaaaaaaackson"

was at UTD v SPURS 2 years ago when spurs fans were singing that then your clown in goals handed him the ball and he rolled the ball in for a nice goal.

were man utd we do what we fucking want

haha yeah Clattenburg in top form that day for ye.

Anyway, easy there bogman, i wouldnt be handing out the slags about a "clown in goals"

Porto started so well, amazing fast paced attacking display for the first 25 minutes, then they sort of lost it. Shame I really want Man City out of the EL.

Watched the second half of the Utd game, Ajax are less than a shadow of their former self, I mean they looked amateurish, some gross defensive mistakes they made.

Loved Milan dismantling Arsenal the other day.

Simply not the case.

Over the past 7 years Celtic developed a very sound business strategy for operating within the constraints the SPL. Sure it meant less attractive football, but it was a necessary evil at the time. We built a little debt under Martin O'Neil with the huge wage bill and transfer fees. (I think at one point in the early 00's we had the 5th highest wage bill in the UK). Immediately after he left there was a major restructuring and the wage bills was reduced considerably.

In recnet years we have built a reputation and fanbase in the Asian markets through guys like Nakamura and Ki. The actual amount of money we received from the TV deal is useful, but not huge. We have brought in young prospects and developed a couple of players through the youth academy. Threre are a few players in out team who would get a game for mid table EPL teams. Izzaguire, Kayal, Hooper, Ki Adam Matthews new boy victor wanyama looks like he will be a good player. We have the potential to raise a fair bit of cash through sales if we had to.

One of the worst rangers teams I have ever witnessed.

Celtic would compete in the EPL at the moment. Some of the shite in the lower half of that league is unreal.

William Hill refused to void 2 of my wrong bets, both of them Came in, youve had your pants down!!!

Anyway ive just placed nowrich leicster over 12 corners (currently 7) millwall - bolton (0-1) over 2.5, everton v blackpooll over 3.5 (2-0) and barnsley portsmouth over 1.5 (0-0) Accumulator, £56 returns £299.50 Heres hoping!!

I suppose, Ibrox will be sold to pay the taxman and the Rangers remmenants will go the Airdrie route buy some other club and get back into football that way they and share Hampden with Queens Park.

Where is PTC for all of this, I think he is a hun so he must be taking it badly.

Once we beat Stevenage and Bolton at home, we'll be hard to stop in the FA Cup. A "top top" going away present for 'Arry. Play Sunderland in the final. Hate the way the semi finals of the cup are at Wembley now.

Yeah Semi Finals should never be at Wembley bollox it is .

Villa Park is a excellent venue given it's situation as well i think it's a great semi finAL Venue.

I was their when West Ham beat Midlesbrough Fukin great attmosphere.

Also saw the Last Ever European CWC Final their Lazio v Mallorca

Played their twice as well at the 5 a side pitches .
Great ground .

Anyone seen the Chelsea physio? No wonder half the team are droppin like flies or that Terry's out for 2 months. She is banging

Napoli 1 - Chelsea 1 38 mins

How the mighty have fallen. Just watched the second half of that Europa shite. Utd played off the park by one of worst Ajax teams in years.

Read an article the other day about how the Glazers have taken £500 million out of Utd's bank to pay off their own massive debt they've accumulated and the club are still over £400 million in debt. No big names coming in, Whiskeyface is letting the best talent leave and keeping the shite.

Really hope Rafael and that shit Michael Jackson play against Bale next week.

Absolute shambles Spurs. Bale dived for the pen but Arsenal were there to be hammered today but we somehow happened to make Walcott look like a footballer and get hammered after being two up. Poor from Parker all day

that boy giggs does it again :D.

some fucking terrible penos in the carling cup final.5 were missed and the mickey mouse won it.

some laugh at the arsenal fans singing "ARRY FOR ENGLAND"
