so is there gonna be a lockout? they only have a few hours left until they decide. of course they could just extend it, which is what i think will happen.

i guess its delayed again for another week. if they still lock out after all this imma be pissed

I'm guessing a couple more weeks of delays and then a lock-out

I'm just not getting positive vibes that there will be a season, when coaches and players are interviewed

yeah, im kinda surprised they havent let the shit hit the fan yet. i guess if they have another week theres some sort of hope (in their eyes at least) but i dont see any evidence of it.

It didn't help for Plaxico. Michael Vick is the Hitler of dogs, Big Ben rapes a couple of women, and both get pretty much nothing in the way of punishment for their crimes.

On the other hand, Plaxico brings a firearm registered to him legally in the state of Florida over to New York, comes about an inch away from turning himself into a woman, and goes to jail for 4 years. How fucked up is that?

good points

ny doesn't fuck around with guns and drugs though from what I hear

what do ya'll think about the new NFL kickoff rule?

is it the pussification of the NFL, on an entire new level?

how will stars like Devin Hester and Josh Cribbs make their money??

eh, I digress. in a game of inches, 5 yards can mean a world of a difference

the biggest change I am preparing to see are far more touch-backs. the ball will be kicked in the end zone at about twice as much as it is now. that is lame

replacement players?! I'M THERE!!

Both the owners and the players already make so much money its insane they are bickering over it. I will say though that it is the owners that have forced this lockout not the players. They got guarenteed payments from the cable companies in thier contracts, then refused to sign the old bargining agreement and pushed a new one on the players union.

If the NFL really misses games this season it will have a huge impact on the economy, bars, resturants, team merchandise, people might not buy a new TV this year because they cant watch football on it so they wait till next year. Not to mention the cable compnies losing all the advert$$ and still paying the owners contracts.

Hopefully this will all get sorted out in court later this month (24th of April i think).

Bullshit

average NFL salary is three quarters of a million dollars a year, and the average time a player spends in the NFL is 3 seasons. That means that the NFL sends most people away after making just a few millions-- a feat most doctors or lawyers could easily top in their careers, and they don't face brain injury for their money, either. Meanwhile, the owners subsidize any major capitol outlays (like new stadiums that they force municipalities to pay for-- or face seeing their team leave), while extracting most of the revenue from ticket sales and merch.

yeah, id have to agree that the owners are the shitbags in all this. they want more games, more money and they still arent making any offers to take care of players medically after they leave the league.
im still pissed cause i bought a my first high def tv last year and had all my home games blacked out :|
