dear bud selig,
listen up. this interleague shit sucks.
i probably don't have to remind you that it's 'rivalry time,' whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean. i'll point out that the phillies are playing the texas rangers, who they've never met before in a game that counted. obviously no love lost between these teams!
but what i have to address is the sheer stupidity of the scheduling. now, i was a big fan of the weighted divisional schedule, and i'll tell you why: it made sense. it was fair! a team should play it's divisional rivals more often than the other teams in the league.
now tell me if this is fair: while the phillies play the orioles (1st in their division) and their bitter rivals the rangers (also 1st in their division), the marlins, for example, play tampa bay (barely not the worst team in the majors) 6 times.
you can take your bogus statistics and stick them up your ass. of course these games draw bigger crowds. let me tell you why, since you're obviously too stupid to realize why: the majority of these games fall on the weekend. now tell me when you think joe sixpack is more likely to bring his family to the ballpark: tuesday night or sunday afternoon?
in closing, please stop blowing smoke up our ass. you're an asshole and everyone knows it; the reason the owners don't care is that they're bigger assholes.
