Americans are so lazy that 1 mile a day is some sort of effort? Hahahahaha. I walk bare minimum 10 or so, THATS JUST TO LIVE let alone recreational. Pathetic.
They just "don't have the time." They'd rather sit glued to the television for hours on end. What's happening on the idiot box is much more important than physical activity for the majority of people.
Technically I started yesterday (when I changed the workout and diet up as well), but with 0 miles ran I'm effectively starting today. I will be doing it all in the form of running on a treadmill.
^ Take it to the hills! Make it fun for yourself. Who cares if you hit the effective "cardio" mark all the time? Get out there and make sure you're enjoying what you're doing.
I forgot to mention that I did 12 miles two days ago. So... 17 miles?
I think we can ALL do one mile a day for 100 days. Who knows how much good it'll do them! It then adds the activity to your scoresheet which contains all of your previous activities.
Okay, let's restart this, shall we? Want to restart this on Sunday? It's summer for the northern hemisphere and we all need our chance to kick your guys' asses to the ground!
Oh, and for those on bikes: let's make it a goal of 500 miles in 100 days. So an average of five miles a day.
On BL team health and fitness and health it is such as the take up line and the force up line. Maybe this year we could do something like this. Like we all monitor our usage of whatever we do like going for walks, operating, climbing, diving, etc....
