Harm Reduction ⫸Should I Try HEROIN?⫷

Exactly. A big problem. Especially with private doctors as it seems to be happening in Florida.

Having tried Heroin and having a unique brain chemistry when I did try Heroin I snorted it and became energized, no nod or laying down and floating. My wife got addicted when she was young and she went cold turkey and got off it but it was hell for weeks. She IV'd, I was always curious as a fan of opiates, so when I got offered it I talked it over with my wife, she veined it and fell back onto the bed, I snorted and got totally "up" and was walking around outside just enjoying the euphoria, stopped at a local bar/restaurant where I knew the bartender I don't drink so I ordered coffee and the only thing she noticed was that I seemed in a great mood that day.

Shooting it once I didn't get the typical response you see in movies or what I saw with my wife, she never did it but that one time (after having been addicted as a younger woman) and gave me the rest of it and never touched it again. I did skin pop and the response was similar to snorting and I didn't like the process of heating it in a spoon and filtering it through cotton for the same effect I got from snorting. I needed very little to get a high that lasted several hours, unlike blow where it was like intense high than fast come down and craving more.

I only did it for a while maybe twice a week then told my dealer to stop contacting me as I knew I liked it too much. Knowing my propensity to abuse something that did more to help my mental health issues that have never been properly treated or diagnosed was very likely to become a daily habit if I continued so I just stopped. I heard what my wife went through when she got off it many years ago and I didn't want to go through that and feared I wouldn't be able to get over it. If I had the typical response to the drug like most people I've talked to where they zombify and can't actually function and just lay down and float away in their mind I would never recommend that to anyone. For me it was mostly a pretty awesome experience, no psychiatric drug ever made me function so well, in fact those psychiatric drugs were a nightmare, unfortunately H isn't something I could use because eventually it would become an addiction that would kill me. But hell I enjoyed the little bit and the short time I snorted it.

I understand. As from what I know, even H and morphine was legal people eventually got sick and had to be treated.
It's all a matter of time in my opinion. Unfortunately, dealers make a lot of easy money as they rely on people getting sick and going after them to be able to live. As 'good' as it may be, at the end one becomes slave and will sell their own parents to get their fix every day.

Thanks for sharing though.

The first time i took it i have only vomited. I thought "why are so many people dependent to this stuff?" But for some reason i did it again and after a few times i liked it. Almost a year after taking the last H i dreamed about it and one day suddenly i went out and got some.

It's on my mind and will never leave. Every few weeks i smoke foil the whole weekend. The craving increased with changing ROA from snorting to vaping.

When i was high on Benzos and Alc, i tried to inject it but found no vein and stabbed for 2 hours. Im so lucky about that! I think i would never inject it in sober state of mind. It was a teaching: never try again, to i.v. it and be careful with benzos+alc combined!

Wish i'd never tried it. Kratom would be more pleasuring then, i think.

Although most people vomit when they use opiates, especially heroin, this normally does not prevent people to continue using.
Good for you that you have not insisted in IV'ing as it can cause various types of damages.
Craving for opiates certainly take the fun of everything else. So it's not a good experience to say the least.
Thanks for sharing.

No! I don't know how this first consume 2 years ago will affect my life furthermore. There is still enough lifetime to take much H, damn.

If you take it, you will propably start an everlasting fight with a very powerful opponent!

It will visit you occasionally if you're lucky and "more stable". Or it will be on your mind almost every day if you saw, that it made good a big deficit for you. And it's great to make good many deficits. It's a very impressive substance that can catch you even years after taking it, while feeling safe, suddenly.

Better you'll never experience how this painkiller for almost every (especially mental) suffering feels like. Many people are comfortable. And H seems to be an easy way to go for total satisfaction at the beginning. But later you have to climb much higher barricades as without it.

Overmatch your curiosity! And don't take it because you're unwell. Explore other ways to make you feel better that are more long-lasting than the high of a substance that will get rare and expensive very quickly!

End of this "fatherly advice".

I know, there are many posts like this on many forums and almost every addict speaks like that, im asking me if at least some people get prevented trying this because of these suggestions.

Maybe it's just a small amount of useless words in another overloaded thread almost nobody reads completely.

No!
If you take it, you will probably start an everlasting fight with a very powerful opponent!

True. As much as we write about this I don't think we are wasting time as eventually someone appears to say hello and to let us know they did not take the easy way out. So we'll continue..

Judging by this thread, you've heard from a number of people that were persuaded otherwise. And the word I found most persuasive is that people wanted to be "free" of this drug..

Why not. It'll either be super amazing and you'll learn how strong it is and hopefully stay away, or you'll just get sick and be like what the hell? I was the latter. Now meth, that's a whole other story.

The whole "Just say no" approach has never worked. Know what you're getting into and expect the worst if you're considering trying heroin.

It's not that simple. Suggest you read this thread from the start and others about recovery and see how this drug has damaged so many lives in devastating manners. Not to mention how many deaths among those who tried it just once. This is not about just say no, it's about understanding how it can affect one's life, family, work, health etc, etc.

i didnt even read the whole thread. i jus tell myself, im never going to do heroin. i just will not do it. Why take that risk, just to feel a drug that has hurt so many. Dont do heroin ever, resist.Dont do heroin ever, resist. Dont do heroin ever, resist. Dont do heroin ever, resist. its not worth it people.

godofmotion- exactly. Anyone who is hellbent on trying heroin for the first time is either lucky enough not to know anyone that's been a victim of it or really, really naive to think that they are so bulletproof.

I hear you guys and the warnings. And I probably will never try it. But I have to say, there is a nagging part of me that wants to know what all the fuss is about. Especially since I love prescription opiates.

Yes this is common among most people who's been into opiates.
But you wouldn't feel the same about Kratom for example, right?
That is because we see the damages inside out and no one wants to see their skin and teeth falling out, I presume.
If we could see how heroin destroy people as clearly as we see how some other drugs do perhaps it would be easier not to be tempted.

All I can tell you is that you can die trying it for the first time, you can OD regardless of how much you have used or for how long -- and most importantly -- there's no easy way out of it as it will be part of your life for the rest of your life, especially if you already like opiates.

I tried it twice. Never IV but snorting the powder. I'm wasn't a fan. Just so people know not everyone who experienced heroin (I know IV is a whole nother ballpark) gets hooked
