If anyone's ever seen movies like The Matrix, Total Recall, Deja Vu, Vanilla Sky or Inception, this is exactly what I went through last night. Grab some popcorn, folks; it's gonna be a long one...
Sep 2-3, 2019: "Virtual Reality Nightmare"
It actually started as a really funny videogame I was watching/playing that starred none other than porn star Ron Jeremy! He was recruiting women to do things like fight aliens or whatever. It was filled with a lot of adult humor and sexual innuendo.
At some point it turned into a virtual reality situation where I was actually living inside of this game and the people around me were like holograms or avatars. At one point I ran into Mr. Jeremy himself (or his likeness) and said, "This is the best videogame EVER!". Unfortunately, this is where it all went horribly wrong.
I realized that we were all trapped in this alternate reality and unable to escape. It basically resembled a large shopping mall, video arcade or movie theater. The visuals actually would have been really cool if the mood hadn't been so scary, because everything had an animated Disney Pixar sort of look to it.
Every time that I would try to leave out of one of the exits, I would find myself right back in the middle of it again. This happened countless times in more different ways than I can remember. Sometimes there were these digital cop/soldier dudes guarding the doors; other times I would get outside just to be teleported back into the center of this mall/hell all over again. I also saw everybody else running around, trying to get out and not being able to either.
Eventually it turned out that this was taking place in somewhere like Panama or South America, and that it was a part of some huge government conspiracy to basically keep us all as prisoners in our own minds. I could sort of see outside and it looked like a very primitive jungle-like place with child soldiers on motorbikes and all.
There were a million small details but way too many to list. For example, one guy kept getting a bag of weed planted on him to be arrested, and every time that he threw it out the window it would instantly appear back in his hand again. Everything had that kind of "time loop" feel to it. Things kept repeating endlessly that prevented us from leaving. The feeling was absolutely hopeless.
It actually turned lucid at the end but by then I thought that my dream was all just part of this whole horrible situation, so needless to say it wasn't enjoyable in any way.
(I woke up after only a few hours of sleep but was too unnerved to go back to bed.)
Sweet Dreams!!!
