If you're going to resort to crap 'jokes' about life-threatening health conditions then it pays to be either slightly funny or to at least spell 'Shakespeare' correctly.

Though the misspelling is at least consistent with the total absence of anything approaching humour.
 
oops,looks like the almighty took offence,but thanks for the clarification. Agreed,it was indeed utter shite. Double standards are far more amusing.

Apologies to the bulimic. I won't get into an internet pissing contest through fear of being intellectually slaughtered,but i shall refrain from the joke thread.

It was a shite joke.

But only because it wasn't funny.

People who take offence at obvious jokes (which clearly have no real malice intended) are fucking morons. They are also hypocrites 99% of the time, as they would laugh at (or at least not be offended by) another "sick" joke as long as they had no personal connection to the subject matter.

However, I am still offended at how unfunny your joke was. Come back with a good joke about bulimia & I'll laugh.

If the first part of that post was aimed at me, then you've missed the fact that I took issue (just as you did) with the joke being unfunny, not the trivialisation of bulimia.

For fuck's sake, I make some of the darkest and most tasteless jokes on this forum. They tend not to centre around mockery of the afflicted, but if that turns people on then go ahead - I tend to largely ignore this thread anyway.

Scrooloose, thank you for the 'almighty' title, but I prefer 'Evil One' personally.

As for the hypocrisy, I've never once denied it; quite the opposite in fact. Not being a Muslim however, I fear no special punishment from Allah in the afterlife.

Are we quite finished now? :)
 
just to clarify from my side too, the face palm was also related to the fact the joke was shit.

Aye, the best joke in this thread is the way some people get mightily offended by the idea that somebody finds the subject matter of the jokes offensive, rather than merely the lameness of the jokes in question.

It read to me as though you took issue with both the subject of the joke and the utter shiteness of it. If that wasn't the case then fair play, I stand corrected.

Anyway, let's see who else we can offend with shite jokes shamelessly stolen from a well known shite joke site. I think I've managed to fit a few categories in to this one...

I asked my gay friend "what makes you more attracted to males than females?"
He thought for a second and replied "well, apparently the most flattering feature of a woman are protruding lumps of fatty tissue with nipples and to be honest that doesn't do it for me, they're also the only females in the animal kingdom to bleed out of their sexual organs which quite frankly is disgusting, and they are nearly always obsessed with makeup which to be fair is vile when it rubs off on you, I'll take a chiseled, blood-free and clean-faced man any day"

I thought for a couple of seconds and then said "Well, to counter your argument my new girlfriend doesn't have protruding lumps of fatty tissue, doesn't bleed from her vagina and doesn't even wear makeup even when she goes out."

He said "So she is a flat chested, chronic bulimia sufferer that probably looks like a heroin addict?"

I said "No, she's 7"

Irelands largest department store had a major power cut. 37 people were stuck on the escalator for more than two hours.

Now,do i get a bollocking off Shamhaingrim for a) another shit joke or b) it may be offensive to the oirish.
