Nope, it was only released on 35mm film, you'll need a circa 1925 kinema colour 35mm projector to play it, failing that you can PM me and i'll link you to where you can... *BUY IT

Yes pretty much spot on with that description of the Hive. Where would you have recommended? Cheap drinks though, I was knocking back double g&t's at £4 a go...
 
Is it not fresher's week at the moment? Could explain the boozecunt-heavy vibe in Edinburgh. Not every student has the sense to turn up in their new adoptive hometown laden with microdots.
 
It's not Fresher's Week here yet but the older students are back. I don't mind students per se, you just don't want to be stuck in a group of them.

A twenty minute journey now takes an hour, a sleepy suburb has now become a hotbed of street-puking and the kind of faux-football chant beloved of the southern English middle classes when drunk and I've already threatened and intimidated at least a couple of people. It won't be long now.

I think that this year I'll pull a knife on the very first person to say "This is the first time I've ever been on a bus" in order to set an example to them. I'd hate to see what'll happen to the first one to pronounce the name of the city as 'Manchista'. Urrrrgggggghhh!
 
i'm enjoying having the freshers round. we don't give a shit about them and they don't give a shit about us but the uni thinks we should mingle and provides some free food/alcohol to do so. also one last year proved very useful, i helped him out in his first week safe in the knowledge he'd get loads more drug contacts than me. and lo and behold, he found me some contacts, and is a sound guy too. finally, i get to teach the buggers, and get over £250 a month for doing so during term time. all in all, welcome back students.

though i did catch myself thinking 'they all look like teenagers!' then sadly realising, thats cos they are.
 
Jed club wise Cab Vol or Sneaky Petes in the cowgate probably would have been a good bet for a less shit crowd, some decent music and drugs. GRV or whatever it's called now is nearbye too, down the royal mile there's the bongo club. Plenty of places just knowing where to go but if it's freshers week or nearbye everywhere will be filled with mongos anyway. Hive is indeed good for cheap drinks at the weekends, can't go wrong for £1 - £1.50 drinks.

Students are great when you are student but as soon as you cease to be one you realise just how big a bunch of cunts they are. Annoying twats. Sam who are these people who have never been on a bus before in their lives? 8(

its easy to be jealous of students cos they have a it of disposable income and relative freedom from work but that doesn't make them cunts. and i'm saying this as a human being, not a student.

also forgot other good thing about freshers is that now thew houses in hyde park are occupied again, people should stop trying to rob us and rob them instead. result.

Speaking from personal experience I was already there beforehand. ;)

Like I said, on an individual basis or in smaller groups they're fine. Unfortunately that's the least visible type of student. I know I was one long ago but even I knew there were situations in which you kept your head down or reined your behaviour in. Unfortunately I was to lose this skill later in adulthood. So it goes.

Insecure petty bourgeois idiots usually. I don't know why it seems to be a point of pride for some of them; they think it marks them out as being 'posher' than their friends somehow.

Can't wait until I get in a conversation and someone naturally assumes I can't possibly be 'local' because I'm more articulate than them. Then the piss-taking shall really begin.

i'm having yet another pointless, frustrating and slightly soul destroying day.

also japan's having a typhoon and more earthquakes, which should give me perspective on how relatively not too bad my life is but is just making me feel depressed and worried about some friends of mine.
 
I've totally fucked up my home life, I live with my mum and last night after a lot booze blues and mxe I staggered downstairs to talk to her, or should i say try and talk to her! I don't remember any of it but breakfast was well awkward this morning! For some reason when I do silly doeses of mxe I always want to talk to my mum but I'm completely incapable! Silly me
 
I would try not to worry too much mate I read your story. I've literally had my mother come in and see me and mates sat rattling lines off the edge of the pool table! Or find the package with 25gs sat on my bed.. It's murder at the time and makes for an awkward few days but I'm sure she'll speak to you sooner or later. I get like that with mxe or ket aswell if I'm on my own, but I know I'm better sticking to being a cunt on facebook and watching films really

Just caught the news, good to see SNP aren't cutting public sector jobs. I don't have the same feeling of disappointment I voted for them as I do about voting for the Lib Dems. Cleggs now appologising they've gone back on their manifesto promise there would be no student fee's, probably what got most of their votes I would suspect. I can't see what benefit cutting public sector jobs would have, people can't pay pills, loose their houses, the knock on effect of that would be horrid. Also why is the government paying for the banks to lend out money when they can afford to pay out millions in bonuses?!

Sorry for the political bit I got a bit too ingrossed in the news there. Politics is not usually my thing but the way the country is currently being run baffles me.

Where do these people come from though that they've never had to get on a bus before? It's quite bizzare that somones life can have been that sheltered up until the age of 18 that public transport was something they'd never experienced before. They get driven around in limos all the time or something? :\
 
I'm having an early night in bed with my laptop and some shit, but oh so good, yank tv, 2 packets of buy one get one free Jaffa Cakes [from Costcutter, kthnx], and a special offer bag of McCains oven chips.

AND, just as I got the chips onto my plate, I realised I've got NO tomato sauce, OR mayo in ... MEGA HEAD FUCK!

anyone here who thinks they've got big problems, seriously, get a grip, mkay?

Brilliant. I see why you're all always bangin on about Breaking Bad now, really good telly! =D
