Bupe Suboxone/Buprenorphine FAQ & Megathread v3; 2010 - 2022

I was on 30mgs of methadone until tuesday, when my script ran out and I started using heroin. I took my last shot of heroin at 6am on friday. I had my frist sub dose at 830pm on friday as I needed my carry for the next day and my pharmacy closed at 9.

Last night I started getting PWDs, mainly restlessness, anxiety, insomnia and very minor GI symptoms. How long should I expect it to last? Should I take more sub or wait until later?
 
^ Suboxone/ Subutex can definitely be snorted. I think some people get negative reactions from IV Suboxone use due to the naloxone, but I don't recall any stories of this happening from snorting.
 
So if I get a take home dose what would be the best way to snort it?
When I was sniffing oxy's I would use a hose clamp to break it up so that it busted fatter.. would this method work well with the suboxone pills?
Lastly, would the sub doc be able to know that i sniffed it when I do my weekly drug test (i was thinking maybe when I snort it naloxone would show up on the test?)
 
^No, bupe would still show up since you're still taking it. A hose clamp isn't necessary with Suboxone tablets as it has no time release mechanism like OC. Crush it however you like.
 
I took about 120mg of Oxymorphone intranasally over the past ~3 days... how long do I have to wait to get back on Suboxone? My usual DOC is oxycodone and I usually wait anywhere between 12 and 24 hours to avoid the precipitated withdrawals... I'm not as familiar with oxymorphone/opana so how long should I wait to avoid precipitated withdrawals? I'd prefer a time frame rather than a vague "till you feel sick" type answer... thanks...
 
my boyfriend was prescribed suboxone for two years and is now about 6th month into PAWS. one thing i was wondering is if its normal for his body to radiate heat at night. and only at night. is this normal? is there any thing he might be able to do? i know kratom helps other symptoms but this heat problem is the worst. any ideas?
 
^Bupe does seem to cause odd temperature fluctuation issues that last well after quitting. For me and a few other people on this forum, the temperature fluctuation problems dragged on for months.

There is no exact time frame, that's the problem. It shouldn't be much different between oxycodone and oxymorphone though, so maybe give it just a while longer than you would with an equivalent dose of oxycodone.

Thanks, you were definitely right... I waited about 15 hrs after my last dose of oxymorphone, popped the sub and feel much better... now not to slip up again! That's the hard part.
 
Can you safely IM a shot of Subutex that has been micron filtered to 0.22u and drawn up into a 1mL fit? Also are the regular 27g Terumo 1mL syringe tips long enough to reach a muscle. My girl needs to give her veins a rest for a long atime, and I wouldn't mind doing the same. Any replies would be most appreciated. Also what is the bioavailability of buprenorphine HCl when IM'd? Cheers.

I've never get any negative reactions from SL, but some people report headaches due to the Naloxone. Actually my favourite ROA is insuflated, but since I'm tapering I'm using only SL. The bad point of SL I think that it takes more time to kick in, and that you have to keep the liquid with it's bad taste for 10 min and then another 10-15 min without eating/drinking anything, that sucks.

Hey so when snorting suboxone how long is the half life? would I have to rip lines over the course of the day not feel withdrawal or could I just rip the whole pill in one line and not feel withdrawal till the next day?
 
quick question, i've been getting the 8mg suboxone films from the same CVS for about 5 months now, the first few months everything was ok then when i got my script for the 4th time i noticed they we're very old (they would crack if i bent them and sometimes they would be broken when i opened them) and im wondering if the old batch would be less effective?

it seems like i almost have to double my dose to feel the same as if they were fresh ones.

nah. its still about the same for swim. snorting was swim's fav way to do it. swim thinks it is way better when snorted but since swim is tappering, swim doesn't snort any more. but when swim did, swim could get by on 1-2 mg a day if swim wanted to. the only problem was with snorting swim was more or less getting high instead of just maintaining so swim would like to snort more often, and usually thats just what swim did.

I'm taking suboxone (8mg a day) and wanted to take Kratom.. Would there be any interactions that I should know about before combining the two?
