Bupe *New Suboxone film * official thread*

One thing that is really bothering me is the serious level of constipation I experience from bupe. The films to an even higher degree. Does anyone have this problem? Ive been addicted on pretty much every opiate and none of them hold a candle to the constipation that bupe causes. And now that I am plugging them, it seems even worse. Is it possible that there is extra receptors in the colon tightening it up further? I am curious on what you guys do to remedy this. It becomes very bothersome to me. Thank you in advance.

take a daily stool softener like docusate sodium

you could also try to add more fiber to your diet or take metamucil or something, but for me fiber made it even harder to shit because it adds bulk to the shit, but on the other hand it does make you shit regularly.

Someone asked on here if you can get refills, I'm almost 100.99% sure you can't. At least not for the films, and at least not in my state. I learned this the hard way thanks to a recent screw-up on my pharmacy's end (where they lost my prescription entirely and never filled it... that was fun to straighten out. -_-)

I love the films though! Way better than the tablets. I feel like it's going to be a lot easier to get off of the films than it would have been the tablets. Just my personal opinion. They're a lot harder to take for one... seriously, opening the package and then ripping the film to where it needs to be and then trying to get it in before it starts melting on your finger and then having to place it in the exact position it needs to be in... yeah, it's actually not even just harder to take than the tablets, it's a straight up pain in the ass. Unlike when I was taking the tablets, I do not look forward to my daily dose. Sometimes I'll even go the entire day and then realize I never took it haha. They also don't give you the "rush" that the tablets do. And I also feel like you're not really getting the dose you think you're getting, since it inevitably starts to melt before you can even place it correctly, so it creates a sort of placebo effect. Like, you think you took 2 mg... but really, you only took 1.89 or something haha it makes for better tapering! So I'm definitely thinking the films will be a lot easier to get off of for those reasons. :)

basstodark, you should try fiber like someone else said. Stay away from laxatives though, seriously. It runs the risk of not working but trying to, and that is painful. Stool softeners and enemas should be good to go too.

Just plugged 4mg film with 2mg clonazepam (huge tolerance to benzos, have eaten 30 30mg temaz and 90 1mg clonaz before several times) but the two mixed together so well I was nodding like the usual full agonist.
Does anyone know if they will come out with norbuprenorphine?

xburtonchic - federally they are schedule III substances and according to the Controlled Substances Act, allow for 1 month to be dispensed at a time and 5 refills given within a 6 month period before a physician is required to renew the script however many states have their own version of the CSA which can be more stringent but not less. I don't know if bupe prescription laws vary substantially state-to-state.

Oftentimes you get opinionated physicians or pharmacists who know that most of the time they can get away with a lot of bullshit so they sometimes take certain liberties with the truth... that's not to say that bupe prescriptions are legally permissible in your state, but I'm not sure they are not either.

Why is that when I open my packages of 8mg suboxone film, sometimes the suboxone is all cracked up. Like it dried out inside of the package?? Is that bad?

Nah, you're probably right. My pharmacy isn't exactly on top of it's game all the time. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they were spewing bullshit just so they could cover for their own mistake.

But I DO know that each time I get a new Sub script, the Dr. has to write it on a special script paper. It doesn't go with the xanax and other stuff.

I've heard that it's a special case with Bupe, having to visit the doctor for each refill. I'm not sure of the actual law though.

Cracked bupe strips upon opening are kind of common, the consensus seems to be that they have dried out a bit. I doubt the potency would be affected much unless the binding ability (to the tongue) was weakened.

Where, exactly, are you supposed to place it? Like, are you supposed to attach it to the bottom of your tongue? Possibly in a specific place? Or do you just throw it in there, like with the tablets, and wait for it to melt?

I always feel like I'm not doing it right idk.

It's sublingual - so below the tongue ideally, thats where some main blood vessels are.

Many people, myself included, experience having too much saliva down there and it washes the film away too quickly. I take 24mg, so 3x 8mg strips. I put one between the gums and cheek on either side of my mouth (top gums, towards the back) and the third, i'll either place under the tongue or find another spot between gum and cheek.

The whole mouth is pretty absorbant so you dont have to put it under the tongue. I find my method works better anyway cos it's not being washed out. Better to keep the saliva down and the concentration up. I leave it there for as long as i can, and when it's on the gums you don't really think about it and youre not tasting it as much so your body doesnt produce as much saliva and you can talk to people if you have to without too much trouble..

Just dont do what you said - throw it anywhere. Everyones got their own little routine; its just common sense - as long as youre not swallowing it all, you'll be ok.

Just think about your mouth like a kind of sieve with plenty of tiny holes I guess

The films are great! easy to measure doses for tapering and the taste is not as bad also they dissolve quicker.
u cut the film in half assuming its an 8mg and put one on each side of the underside of ur tongue ware the vanes are primarily.
they stick to everything tho so if it touches ur teeth forget it its toast or most of it is.
ya I have had a problem with them(the film) cracking before and its because i left them in my glove box in the heat too long, so im assuming
room temp for these things should be average. other than that no complaints, ben on em sense they have came out and tapering is goin vary well.
I was on 2 8mg a day now I am down to 1 8mg a day after a 3 month period of tapperin.

Eh dissolving sub under your tounge is a waste of money. At minimum get an eye dropped fill it with water, dissolve a premeasured dose then snort it. And it doesn't take as long as people think to snort 1-2ml of solution. I do 2-3 drops in each nostril every couple minutes and under 30mins the whole dose is absorbed consistently.

If I do sublingual instead of doing 4mg snorted I have to do 6 and even sometimes 8mg depending on whether I just ate an hour or go or not. Sublingual was always too up and down for me with sub. But either snorting or pluggin always felt much better.

And oddly I've grown to enjoy snorting the bitter orange liquid. The only downside to snorting is about 40mins to an hour afterwards my nose becomes clogged with a very watered down mucous. I generally have to blow for an hour or 2 till its all out. But with consistent snorting lately it seems I've been blowing my nose all day. Either way it never causes any pain or blood.

This recent drop from 4mg to 2mg was VERY well needed. I don't think enough people understand a weird shitty sluggish feeling can quickly creep up on you with sub over the course of 1-2 weeks where you may feel zombied out on the shit and nontalkative. Today I put 2 and 2 together and it really felt like I had too much in my system only from taking 4mg a day for about 4 months. I just went from feeling ok to zombified beyond all recognition. Dropped my dose in half and already today feel loads better.

Sometimes you MAY definitely need to bounce your dose down with sub to "refresh" your head I notice. Just a notice for anyone who may be feelings "bleh" lately on their dose. It can literally creep up out of nowhere.

I love the strips. There easy to do everything with. Shoot, plug, sublingual...you name it. The only thing i never done with the strips is stick em in my nose. Heres how I break it down...

If your on a low dose a day or are forced to cut down dramaticly may I recommend plugging. Sure it's not the nicest thing in the world to do but just use a small syringe you honestley barley feel it. I DID shoot mine for 5 months. I never did mroe than 1,g in a shot though and always double even triple filtered. Filtering with cotton once is NOT going to do it. I stopped banging though because after abouth 5 months I noticed a stiffness in my right arm (I am left handed so yeah). I still take a risk injeting my roxys once a month.

But plugging has a higher bio avalibility. Im taking .25mg and under the tongue will last you...3 hours TOPS if your lucky. In the bun, can last double that easily.

I was on Suboxone , 24 millagrams a day for 7 1/2 Years before i switched to Methadone.Believe it or not 24 to 36 mil. a day is pretty much the Norm where im from.Anyhow i was on Methadone for about a year before i got thrown out & put on a 10 day taper from 120 mil. a day ; so a 12 mil. drop per day for 10 days.Whats fucked up is it wasnt even my fault i got booted! Some asshole all tweaked out on Blizzard (Bath Salts) while it was still legal , on a 3 day binge just attacked me!I was just standing in line listening to my MP4 player & bam , this guy comes out of nowhere swinging on me!So i did what i had to do & in the process he got hurt pretty bad ; he just wouldnt stop...id light him up to the point where he should of been knocked out & it didnt even seem to faze him; it was a bad scene.

Anyhow , even though this went on for 3 or 4 minuts before Security finally got him restrained , they said i shouldnt of fought back because their is a zero tolerance for any violence their. So basically i got thrown out for not letting someone pound on me for 3 minuts straight!Anyhow that was like 27 days ago so ive been off Methadone completly for like 17 days. The withdrawl just seems to be getting worse though!About 10 days after my last dose i ate 15 7.5 ES's & that barely took the edge off!So i thought i was screwed ; i tried morphine , Percs , etc.... & they didnt help much & not for long.

Finally i scored some suboxone strips.I never did the strips only the 8 mil. Tablets but i took 1 , 8 mil. strip & i was fine.I actually felt good!I could sleep , eat & function normally. In my opinion they are much better than the pills. It kicked in faster , the taste wasnt as bad & i didnt have a mouthful of saliva to wash down when it disolved.Ive been doing them for 5 days now & have 1 left & i can get 2 more.Im hoping i can keep getting them until i can get a Docter...Theres plenty of Sub Docters around but they all have waiting lists! When i do get back on Suboxone im definatly going with the strips!I have one under m toung now & its about time i washed it down...Sorry about the rant about the Methadone Clinic but im still pissed that i had to go through hell just for defending myself ; just thinking about it gets me going!I wish you all the best!

^At least you're on bupe now... your endocrine glands are thanking you.

I've been having a problem with my Sub strips lately and I do NOT even know why this is happening.. it definitely didn't before.

I only take a half a strip per day, so I usually leave the other half out until the next morning. This was all fine and good until very recently. Now, when I go to get it in the mornings, it seems like the texture has changed. They're more flimsy... they "feel" thinner somehow. Anyone know why this is? Like I said I'm not doing anything differently... they're still in the same spot as they've always been. I'm not sure if I can feel a weaker effect or not, but I definitely notice the other half of the strip doesn't give me a 'rush' the way the fresh out of the package ones do...

Dividing your suboxone dose made easy

So...your on suboxone, and mroe than likley your on strips. The bigest problem I had with these things, is at times if scissors and a ruler aint avalaible, and you fold down the middle and attempt to rip, you may laot of times end up with un even doses. It gets even worst if your dose is like 1mg or .05 like me. Heres a few techniques I found to make this easier.

1) Keep stored in fridge. I discovered this when one morning I woke up after leaving my AC on overnight and it actualyl became EXTREMLEY cold....so when I went to break my suboxone in half it was VERY easy to tear.

2) Huff on your strips a bit. Make it slightly flexible so you can measure (example folded over once for 4mg)

3) Fold over and back repeatetly. This makes it more and more weak and easier to break off.

4) You could always take the time to pre prepare your doses at home.

This may get merged into the Subo major thread but I felt it was impordant to our friends out there just begiging, or simply having a hard time with these things. Hope this advice helps even one person. %)

I just got on the films yesterday. My doctor mentioned this. He said it is a known quality control issue and that if the strips are crumbly at all to take them back to the pharmacy and get replacements. Of course this is easier said than done, but they'd probably take the unopened ones back at least. Good luck with that!

So far I am really liking the strips. At first I was thinking it'd be best to dissolve them and make a nasal solution, but sublingual administration works so much better with the strips compared to the tablets. Making a solution and snorting it might give you a little bit more of a peak, taking the films as directed probably gives you the most bang for your buck.. short of IVing, which I don't do.
