Festivals 2011

Thats the last thing people want, police hanging around the tents and car parking. Puts a real downer on it all as you cant relax if you have got stuff on you.

at global last year there were plenty of police on the entrance with the odd van driving round the car park, but its nice and open so you can spot them a mile off. there were 3 dogs on the gate at the busiest time but to be honest they seemed abit overwhelmed with the amount of people walking through didnt seem very effective. i never spotted any inside though and the security once in seemed lenient. the dogs did pick my mate up on the saturday morning though and he got a full strip search for his troubles ( on a comedown cant be good haha ) luckily he wasnt carrying nowt.

a good way i found off getting stuff in was opening a new pack off baby wipes carefully so not to rip the packet, jam your gear into the middle of the wipes and seal again with a lighter, looks like the packets never been opened ;)

i might not even risk taking my own in this year though theres bound to be alot of good stuff for sale in there with the way pills have picked up?

St Pauls carnival.......lets just call it a festival for the sake of the thread :) Let the sun shine and the good times happen :)

Field Day Festival looks mint. Lots of Post-Dubstep acts and a few good bands.

Aye - It was good to see you mate albeit it briefly you. My ketamine problem ruined most of the day for more as usual.

I won't be ruining boomtown with the same mistake.

Decided I'm going to boom town fair this year. I seen other people have been to this before. Any good? I'm going purely based on the fact my brother has a ticket....some one sell it to me.

Wireless really was much better than i was expecting! the atmosphere was really good and chemical brothers blew me away, i didn't expect so many people to be rolling but there was, bit gutted i didnt bring anything with me in the end!

You should asked about, there was lots of MD flying around. Was an absolutely banging night, I was the guy being hypnotised by Aphex's light show with a face like this 8o . Really great atmosphere, lots of people from all over the world seemed to be there - although maybe that's just London and I'm not used to it.

You all should have PM'd me, would've been nice to get a meetup. Nobody seemed to be going until afterwards. :p

Some of you feeling smaller festivals might want to check out Fieldview. I think it brings about 2000 people atm.. gets bigger each year (began in 2006 in someones garden). Really nice community of people, real positive vibes and all money raised goes to charities such as Water Aid and Cool Earth. And it's only £35 for the weekend.

On the subject of small festivals here's a great one near Belfast that started last year, this year is shaping up to be 10x better. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed, real friendly people about and some decent local bands.
