2 Workers, 2 Patrons Shot To Death At NY Pharmacy

That guy is a fuckin animal he just walked in the place and started shooting I read the article in the new york post. Just walked in and started shooting.

At a news conference Monday afternoon, Police Commissioner Richard Dormer said authorities were offering up to a $5,000 reward for information on the suspect, who got away with prescription drugs after the shooting inside Haven Drugs in Medford shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday.

^This is a god damn insult if you ask me. FOUR people executed, teens to seniors, and 5 grand is all they can cough up??

I hope they catch this guy. If he's a local, he's fucked.. If he's drifting, god forbid, we could see repeats in other places, this guys got the potential obviously, and has nothing to lose now..

maybe he'll end up ODd in a hotel hot tub or something like all the other people who actually pull off these jobs.. sick fucking bastard =(

+1 TO THE FUCKING WAR ON DRUGS AT THE ROOT OF THIS

Mejia, 17, along with 45-year-old pharmacist Raymond Ferguson, and customers Bryon Sheffield, 71, and Jamie Taccetta, 33, were all shot and killed, execution-style.

Taccetta ran into the pharmacy Sunday, while her fiancee waited outside. He grew worried and discovered the massacre when he went inside to check on what happened

^Did he hear gun shots? It's a small pharmacy, how could he not? If he heard shots, he would have ran into the guy before he had time to kill everyone AND load up on all the pills he wanted.. I'd be looking at this guy real hard =\

Pharmacist Howard Levine said his West Babylon pharmacy was robbed twice by a man looking for drugs.

Levine said he no longer carries addictive painkillers like oxycontine and oxycodone. He said he believes pharmacy robberies can be prevented by strengthening drug regulations and record-keeping.

“To identify those people who are excessively prescribing, those people who are excessively dispensing and those people who are excessively using,” he said.

This is BULLSHIT! How could that POSSIBLY in ANY WAY AT ALL stop people from wanting to steal drugs from stores or prevent them from doing so? Actions like this only hurt people who really need meds and the dr's who want to help their patients. This guy needs to be slapped.

ya the piddly $5k reward had me 8)
/the fiance, in the pharmacy, with a handgun?
//that's some television-shit right there ;P (to entertain that theory means we gotta entertain he shot, or was involved in the shooting of, his fiance)
///pharmacist is right, to a degree, anyways - big-ass "no oxycodone, dilaudid, xxxxxx" signs surely have *some* effect (hate that it's come to that, but i'd definitely help make the posters if i were close to any pharmacists :| )

I really don't think that the robber/murderer was a drug user.

Suffolk parole and probation officials Monday looked in their records for leads: known opiate addicts or someone who might have recently failed a drug test. Narcotics detectives consulted informants to learn if opiate pills were hitting the black market en masse.

This guy must have stolen a lot if they are asking drug users if there has been a sudden increase in supply. There is always a lot available there, it's not like a place that doesn't have any pills.

'oxy-like' substance makes me think he was goin after opana or dilaudid, those are fairly rare on the street and there are lots of scum-fuck Criminal Informants out there. All the cops have to do is ask their rats if they get a hold of any of those particular pills and start connecting the dots.

if a single-pharmacy robbery results in ANY effect on local supplies, you gotta be talking one HELLUVA small 'local' geography..
/have NO idea what a CVS keeps on-hand, but i'd bet $-to-donutz that the local one being hit would only have an effect on the robber's circle and *nobody* else's, it's not like a pharm-robbery sets someone up to be a trafficker lol (especially since, presumably, a pharm-robber would eat/shoot a ton from what they got)

Opanas are all over here. They aren't connecting any dots. It has never taken me more than 2 phone calls to get what I need here.

ya some dateline csi shit alright lol not saying the fiance would be in the store, but maybe *dun dun DUN* he was in on it with the shooter, wanted to get in on the money and off the girl at the same time- sent her in there at the same time he knew the job was gonna go down, and kept watch outside while the shooter was rounding up his gear, then 'discovered' the scene after the shooter was done and out. It looks like such a small place, he must have had the radio blasting to not hear the gun shots, and even then, the parking lot had to be small too, wouldn't the psycho pop the guy i the car if he was taking out witnesses? I dunno. Conspiracy theory end haha

= and what the pharmacist said about not carrying the stuff, yeah, that would help, but he is calling for even TIGHTER regulations than there are now and we are already putting Dr's in jail over this bullshit and denying pain meds to patients who NEED pills. What he is saying will make that situation worse.

o i didn't get that, i thought it was just adding the signs
/fuck regulations, make the shit EASIER to get imho
//don't restrict pharma's right to deny access to products that, clearly, can pose a danger to even offer..

^ I wouldn't be so sure. I'm downstate, but my friends in syracuse and watertown get them.

This is truly disgusting and awful, 17 years old is too young to die. But I would rather get shot and die then get stabbed or bludgeoned to death any day of the week.

you don't know where they got shot =\

keep your eyes on liveleak, some sick cop will post the tapes eventually

It says it was at close range with no warning. Hopefully it was painless.

think that article's in this thread - it threw me when they phrased it like that, but i haven't heard anything about 4 headshots from any other source (i think they just meant he killed quickly/indiscriminately)

This is right by me on the island.

Latest I heard is they got the guy this morning. Hope he gets what he deserves.

seems so

Police take 2 from house near NY pharmacy killingsBy FRANK ELTMAN, Associated Press – 2 hours ago
MEDFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Police on Wednesday escorted a handcuffed man out of a home near a pharmacy where four people were shot to death in a botched weekend robbery, witnesses said.

About 30 to 40 officers converged on the Medford home and brought out the man, who resembled surveillance photos of the suspected killer, said Peter Spano, who was working on the lawn next door.

Suffolk County police and prosecutors declined to say whether the activity was related to the homicide investigation, which has spawned a massive manhunt for a gaunt man with a beard wearing glasses and a baseball cap. Police released footage of the man after Sunday's shootings and have received more than 250 tips so far.
