Yeah I should have been more clear when I said I the filtered solution is almost completely clear. With apap/para products its entirely dependent on brand.

As far as ibu/cod products... well I never get a clear solution with them

I dont agree with you comment about the filter not having anything in it after doing the shirt-coffee filter process. Even when Im using really 'messy' brands that I know will leave the end result as a solution full of suspended solids I still find that my coffee filter ends up having quite a bit of white stuff on it afterwards.

Yeah you're right about it depending on brand. I use tablets with the least amount of 'glue' in them. The sticky crap that holds everything together. I find if you prefilter those with a cloth etc, the water will run through the filter really quickly and it's still has the same milky white colour full with suspended solids.

But I also remember trying the actual brand name Nurofen+ and from memory even after cloth filtering the solids first, the liquid just sits in the filter & the glue crap seems to plug up the filter paper. So even with pre filter it takes forever to filter that crap. Incase of nurofen+ you're left with white water, but they have put a colourant in the tablets. Judging by how difficult it is to filter and the white dye i'm guessing it's a deliberate attempt to stop people filtering. (Or maybe just a coincidence)

Yeah the whiteness of N+ filtered water doesnt bother me at all. The huge wad of pill clay that I throw in the toilet to flush puts my mind at ease that 90+ of the ibuprofen is out.

So even if youre doing a full 30-pack 10% of the total Ibu content comes to 600mg. Same as 3 full tablets. i.e. no problemo!

Hardly a "massive" addiction. I mean shit I was taking over a gram of codeine with like 150mg of dxm, 100mg diphenhydramine, 4-10mg xanax, A litre of grapefruit juice...

Ahhh I miss those highs. Definitely more fun than 16mg of Buprenorphine...

I find when I do paracetamol extraction I get less solid waste than when I do an ibuprofen extraction using the same filter/method. Does anyone else find this?
Not sure if its because of solubility of binders etc or what but I throw alot of solids from a ibuprofen extraction and not so much from a para one

I don't think it's deliberate, I think it's just how they manufacture the tablets. I used to put N+ in a coffee grinder to make the CWE and didn't have problems with filtering that.

Regarding drug_mentor's post; ibuprofen is definitely less immediately toxic in a overdose then paracetamol is. If you push it though you can do damage to your kidneys or suffer side effects like renal tubular acidosis though that is uncommon.

I've been getting reflux since hitting the ibuprofen too hard, for the sake of harm reduction I won't post the amount of tablets I swallowed.

Me neither, because I'd rather not 'go there' . In my (our?) defence though the change in formula from splittable to non splittable N+ pills was led me to such acts of irresponsibility.

There the worst to use for CWE:S Ive always used panafens but found a better one called Pharmacor Brand which is a green box. So much better as it produces stronger effects too compared to others and ive done a number of CWE's so far:S

I'm not sure if this could explain the deafness experience for others, but my ears generate alot more wax if I'm taking codeine daily - I have to get them flushed every few months. That's over constant over a long time though, not temporary while under the effect of a dose.

Apparently there is some other condition to do with blood pressure or somesuch that people have reported from codeine - perhaps that is what you experienced?

As for the kidneys, no I didn't notice any pain.. Once or twice I got a momentary pain in my back/kidney area, but it didn't continue for more than a few seconds - it came to my mind that it may be kidneys, but I think it was just my back - I have terrible posture, lying curled around a couch with my laptop.. Bear in mind I was under the influence of painkillers pretty much constantly.

If it happens, go to the docs and get a blood test - I had no pain at all from my gradual bleedout - and the gradual decline in my energy levels went unnoticed but when I was checked into hospital after discovering what had happened, everyone said it was lucky I hadn't died.

Cheers. Fortunately though Im only cwe'ing these days. Had a full blood work up recently for an unrelated matter (hippie doctor has me doing a detox and blood tests are part of it), and all seemed clear.

Happy to hear things worked out ok for you (considering the alternative).

If Im cwe'ing using an ibu product I find both Nurofen and Panafen are superior to ANY of the generic/pharmacy brands that Ive come across.

With P and N you actually see the codeine bubbling off the pills almost instantly after you put them in water (more so with Panafen than Nurofen). But the chem brands seem to just sit there in the water doing nothing for ages.

With Panafen I actually went through a stage where I was putting them in water and waiting for the initial bubble off (1-2mins) then scooping out what was left of the pills with a spoon. Im fairly confident it was only ibuprofen that hadnt bubbled off but I was too paranoid that I wasting codeine so I stopped that technique.

Oh right, thanks for that. I've only seen the dyes in N+ & mersyndol (yellow dye). I prefer the result looking like or very close to clear as water.

Also on the topic of brand names, Panafen and Nurofen brands are really the only ones that are bearable to drink.. all the cheaper pills have this nasty chemical, which I suspect may have been added specifically to turn people off drinking it in solution. Anyone know what it is?

Nah don't know what it is, but I just pour a fruit flavoured cordial into the extract before consumption. It's interesting to note that when cordial is added to the cheap generic you get all these crystals explode out of solution. The clear water turns white. It's an interesting reaction and I don't know what It means but doesn't damage the cwe. Maybe that's a reaction to the possible bittering agent you mention.

Me too. I dont think any solution gets lost but I do worry that some of the codeine is left in the huge wad of white pill mass. Sometimes I do a 2nd extraction on the left overs (anyone else do that?)

As far as taste goes, I really dont mind the taste of N+/P+ cwe'd liquid. Paracetemol products taste worse IMO. I usually chase cwe'd paracetemol solution with water from out purifier and it literally tastes like its had sugar added to it (the purified water). Anyone else notice that? You have to drink the pure water instantly after the codeine solution to notice it.
