hey guys im new to this site nd i was wondering if you guys might be able to tell how good my kidneys might be after 2 years of 240mg/4000mg of Codeine/Paracetemol use per day?

Your liver might not like all that apap either. I would go to the doctor and get both checked. I am planning on doing the same.

DOH DOH DOH DOH DOH!!!!

cwe dude. please. IT IS A MUST

yes i am very aware Of CWE and have done it many times but most if the time im in too much friken pain to be able to do anything btw im taking all that codeine because of my knees and back are fked (major cartliage damage on both knees and my back doesnt have the natural curvature that distribute the weight evenly called lordosis so my back literally cant hold itself up).

ive also thought about stopping but im sooooooooooooooooo addicted its not funny, last time i didnt have any i ended up with a blinding migrane and chronic vomiting, also the feeling of 60mg's of codeine goin though my veines for the first time very morning will be VERY VERY VERY VERY hardf to forget.

thanks for your input guys i really appreciate it.

yes doing a cwe might take you extra 25min be4 u can ingest the drug. but man. that 25min is TIME well spent.

think of your kidneys/liver/stomache.lower intestines bro.

i hope you haven't done much perm damage to your organs!

I just wanna know how the fuck you're still alive dude, that's real bad man, go to your local GP ask them for a test.

really? is it that bad? coz my liver hasnt shown any signs (that i know of) of damage ohhhhhhhhhh waiit yes i remmeber now ok jst remembered that alchohol can make my kidneys hurt so i dunno i dnt drink all the time though
and even if i do its only 1 drink or so yea

p.s the really bullshit thing is that i cnt go see my GP coz A. he thinks im a drug seeking addict (im an addict but not a drug seeker my opiot use is for the releife of pain) and B. to get to his office i have to walk up a flight of stairs and i cnt do that with 4 titanium pins im my knee and have been fobidded to walk on stairs by my specialist and and physical therapist so i dunno, im starting to cut my dose though 2day im going to try nd only have 180mg of codeine compared to my usuall 240mg per day

me too man, stupid paracetemol being more toxic ton your liver than pure heroin

Er if you in such pain, couldnt u get meds of your doctor?

tried and failed + i dont really want to get into hevier opiots because i know i'll jst end up on the street also ive had morphine, oxycodone but none seemed to stop my pain, although it was 30mg of Morph and 15mg of Oxy and that was when i was in hospital after my knee operation

It's your liver I would be concerned about. Go to your GP and request a liver function test.

Also, start doing CWE's on your dose. Check out this thread for a guide on how to do them.

Do you want to give up the habit? Are you interested in talking to a psychologist or someone about it?

i cant give up, before i was on painkillers i was having suicidal thoughts because the pain was that bad, but talking to ppl about it seems to make me feel a little bit better considering none of my friends know im an opiot addict and i plan to keep it that way.

Sadly in todays insanely over regulated legal drug world being in genuine pain dosn't mean you will even be able to get pain medication, assuming you're talking about oxycodone, morphine, fent. I've known many people with like 2 or 3 separate pain inducing conditions and still having huge trouble even getting some 5mg oxycodone pills.

On top of this, i've been warned from a good friend in the know that the government thinks that opiate prescribing has risen much too high over the last 4 decades, and now are going to be cracking down on anyone on more than 120mg of morphine. I dont know exactly what this means, but it seems like we have some seriously ignorant people in power.

Sad thing is, some people will just suffer in agony, but other's arent going to let a failed system bring down their quality of life, so you end with a situation where people are sourcing street opioids to make up the difference of what the doctors wont provide them. Sadly on the black market they're paying much more, and possibly using much more opiate than they need and risking psychologicol addiction.

man with your medical conditions if you go to a doctor/specialist and even explain the cwe of codeine and the possible damage that has done and the pain you are in I am dam sure you could be prescribed something that suits you and is regulated so it wont be abused. Even if you do cwe over a long period of time you are getting alot of ibuprofen or paracetamol which isnt the best. Nor is being addicted to opiates good but we cant do much better for pain even these days, atleast you would be supervised and not taking unecessary poisons with it.

Im not sure why you assume real medicine/medical practise cant help

Try and wrangle some naltrexone so you can take a very low dose (1-10 micrograms) every time you use codeine. Keeps your tolerance down and prevents withdrawals too. I used opiates daily for months with hardly any diminished effects doing that.

Are you sure about that footscrazy? I know naltrexone lowers tolerance, but from what I understand that's because it completely flushes out the opiate receptors and makes them more sensitive, which can be dangerous and cause overdoses in people unaware of this fact.

It could be a good way for someone who wants to keep their tolerance low and who isn't physically addicted to opiates to dose a small amount of naltrexone, then wait a good week before dosing your opiate.

If you have a habit and take naltrexone, and I'm talking from experience, it puts you into incredibly violent and painful withdrawals within half an hour that don't lessen for hours, but seems like days. When you're like this, no opiates, or anything else for that matter can stop it, except for maybe somet kind of tranqulizer or sleeper that will knock you out cold. I'm not sure that's a good idea though, as I was throwing up and pissing out of my ass hole constantly. I also couldn't hold down water, let alone pills. Wasted the majority of my benzo stash I'd saved for this too which pissed me off.

I'd be interested to learn from the more knowledgable members on here about using naltrexone to lower tolerance for those with a habit.

You can get naltrexone under the PBS if you're an alcoholic, I'm sure it would be easy to acquire from your GP if you wanted to.
