Bluelighter
Hello fellow bluelighters, I come to you guys in need. My grandmother is currently receiving chemotherapy for cancer. We are not in a medical state so she cannot get a card/grow/etc. She is in awful shape as in she is having incessant nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, pain, etc. She has objected to Marijuana use, been resistant and even indirectly busted me a few years ago and my grandfather being the assistant chief in my town (when he was alive years ago) prob didn't improve her opinion toward drugs. Me, trying to be understanding, has put all of this behind me for what has happened this evening.
Tonight I was speaking with her about her cancer and she stated "the medical marijuana pill doesn't help me." at which point I saw her prescription for Dronabinol. I got on bluelight, did a little research, and came back explaining to her what I found out. This time around, she was quite receptive. She didn't cut me off, get mad, or disagree. She even started asking some questions about marijuana and I told her the truth (I won't get into it as I would think that everyone on the Cannabis forum knows a decent bit about pot) From what it seems to me, she is coming around. She doesn't want to get high, she just wants to feel normal.
I'm a daily pot smoker so I obviously have some around and wouldn't mind sharing. The tough part is method of ingestion. She isn't against the smoking aspect, she's just afraid of the negative effects of the smoke. I told her about edibles but I'm not sure how to dose them properly. I have access to both high grade and mid grade bud. The high grade is a great indica that I think would be perfect for her ailments. She's a smaller, short lady probably weighs between 110-130 at 4'11."
Does anyone have an idea of how I can help my grandmother feel better?
If you have any questions that relate to this, I'll answer them.
