Ur right mate, there's a local dealer who I used to score from before the drought and he's selling real weak shit now. I say to him (cos I still see him for his stone) 'This is crap mate, if u get the more expensive stuff then I'll pay £10 a point all day for it' but he tells me why should he pay more when it's selling like hot cakes?? I say, 'who the hell's buying it?' and he says folk r happy to buy it every day. It's like poeple have forgotten what gear shud do!! He just tells me to keep going to my man miles away cos I know it's ok from him and I see his point, why shud he pay more (even tho it's better stuff and he can get it) cos idiots round here r buying it.

From what I hear from other people the situation's slowly getting better but it's the same in Wolves, people r buying crap and coming back for more so if ur a dealer and u can make twice the profit then ur gonna do it aint u? Why pay more? It won't change until the price of the decent stuff comes down to rival the shite (which it never will, the shite will just drop lower).

This drought has been fucking awful and as long as idiots keep buying up shite then it'll go on even if the real deal is about.

Maybe that is . In 96' after 6 weeks clean my cousin took me to the red light district (Victoria). There was a park outside the subway station. The Hellenic police had alot of heads rolled up and getting searched spread eagle- most certainly for hard drugs. Anyway, if one can get dope- that would have been probably the right place but a bad day. It helps I speak the language fluently but I got an accent. My cousin doesn't use illegal drugs, but he might have been cool with helping me get hash, but heroin was a different story. But I found a resident of Athens that isn't a dope fiend- so doesn't have the insider info on the scene we dope fiends have.. He says he knows people who use and provided this correspondence he allowed me to post with his permission.

Currently I am living in Athens again Had to go to the army as I have Greek citizenship and a South African passport is useless. Had fun none the less, going to the army in Greece is like the boy scouts. I only shot a rifle once and left 5-6 kilos overweight

Weed is the most socially accepted drug and easiest to find, though quality varies for crappy shit from Albania to quality from Kalamata as discussed before. Coke is popular, maybe to popular which kind of makes me avoid certain areas in downtown Athens, to many egos fighting for the same attention, the newly rich, or neoploutoi in Greek. Mdma, acid and ket were very popular around 97 just up until the Olympic Games when the police got to serious and clamped down on all those scenes, closing clubs and raiding events i.e. places like Oinofuta, Alsos, +Soda. Still out there, but very limited and you could say pro coke propaganda has also influenced the way people think about drugs. Heroin is the easiest drug to score, open air scene in Athens with Afghan and Nigerians selling even outside large retail stores. Don't use so do not know about the quality etc, as I know you do from your posts, but deff no drought in Athens, people shooting up and nodding in the run down parts of the city.

Compared to other parts of Europe that I have lived in, yes the usage is definitely much less, maybe the percentage of heroin users is the same, a tad bit less, but when it comes to everything else, much lower. People don't even drink that much and is very evident when the bars close as you don't have many drunk people wondering all over the place, fights etc. Islands and the summer are a different thing, but in urban environments people are to afraid to let lose some times and hold back...

I think it helps if you speak the language- though the Greeks showed discrimination, with my American accent. If your family its cool no matter were you from. Its been my experienece that Greeks hate Americans the most, though that began changing in the 90s because more euros were comming and they don't tip. From my limited experience it seems that Greeks like Italians but have significant disdain for Northern European (with the exception of topless Swedish Chicks). Brits they seem to get along with but they would get anoyed with their drunk anticks (they would come and get summer jobs in Glyfada and act like drunk fools which the Greeks found alittle anoying. I think Merkel is Greece's Public enemy #1 these days.

In general Greece is like Sweden in that illegal drugs are taboo, with hash being less taboo and more accepted in recent years. The difference is that Greece has less strict alcohol laws, Greeks drink in moderation, and and don't act like drunk viking- public drunkness is taboo- but the greeks probably smoke more cigareetes than any other european nation. My Fathers people are Greeks that came from Asian Minor, the place many think the opium popppy is indigenous to. I fell in love, felt I was fixed, and unlike being more sensitive to other drugs than my friends, I was always intrisically more tolerant- I attribute that to natural selection- those that were sensitive to opium during the milenia died.

Now I hear her Majesty is visiting Ireland. What I don;t understand is IRA types or people that have a violent or dislike for the UK putting her life at risk and making her the object of their rage (the ones that I guess are in the minority). Wouldn't it make more sense to bomb or attack the British PM, or ambush 10 downing street (which appears a softer target than Buckingham palace with the queens own military guards), or find a way to bomb the house of parliament if your really angry.

It just seems that you would be hurting the British more (assuming you harbored a grudge) by letting her live, rein, and prosper extravagantly-at the British peoples expense (it would help bleed their struggling country dry by keeping her around and subsidizing her lifestyle). I never understood using the royals as political targets when their policy making powers are limited. Maybe you guys can explain the logic too me. Is it the symbolic loss that trully would hit at the heart of the brits?, forgive me for being an ignorant seppo, but carrying animosity towards the British Monarchs by modern day Irish Republican sympathizers/ militants, seems counterproductive.

But my philosophy is let by gones be by gones and let the hand of friendship extend across the Irish Sea. Again- I aint there. Thats why I'm asking.

I was gonna get sum puff well i did ,but at the asme time i could get that proper grey stuff that Blondin has ben talkin about , it really is top notch.

So basiccly by 10 30 i got a t of grey slate gear plenty of benzo's n half oz of squidgy black and a light wallet:)

I much prefer sorting everyting in one go saves so much anxiety and arrest potential;)

Nah the Benzos on their own are worth untoold on the street not that i would ever sell em cos well i wouldn't and also i never come across any1 that gets liquid nitraz so if summat happens its obvious where it came from.

Do you remember back in 1999/2000 or ages ago any way when all the gear was like that for a long time even use to look like slate (hash) - i was hoping my last purchase was gonna last a week or so ....bought on thursday, hammered till tuesday, run out by wednesday. Still can always gey some more and got my 5 oxy's and the fent patch (chewed a 1/4 of one this morning after a boot - MMMmmmm

There is still alot of shite about but there's good stuff as well.
It's luck of the draw as to which you come across.
Our guy ran out a few weeks ago & we got 6 different types since that & it was all shite.
We finally got decent in Tallaght & seems to be plenty out there..

It's light brown stuff & it's in rock.

Yeah, I remember that gear, with speckly bits in it.

Does anyone remember the gear that looked like dirt? I thort I'd got ripped the 1st time I got it! It was like clumps of dark brown earth but was damned strong shit! It made a big fuss when u 1st melted it, like it was wet or summat.

How r things in the West Country dude? Decent but expensive by the sounds of it. Same up here in Brum. Don't mind paying over the odds if u know it's good shit tho. It's when u pay £20 for .2 and it's utter crap that is the real pisser! A lot of that sort of shit has been happening over the last 6 months too! The last 6 fucking months?!!! Man, this has been such a nightmare it's untrue. Who'd have thort it'd go on for this fucking long?

Remember folk saying 'it'll be back to normal come the new year'!!! Then the end of Jan, then Feb etc, etc. Fucking wank! At least my drugs tests r coming back +ve for gear so that's a relief!

In my part it's fine mind you i'm only using one guy.
80 on a t for this grey stuff is decent i'd much rather pay that than 60 for pot luck .
I wouldn't no where to get anything less than a .4 cos i ain't in that kinda loop.
the westcountry is a big place all the way from Gloucs down to devon so i can only speak for my home city .
Yeah i've had stuff that looks like dirt , smelt it n my mind was put at ease straight away .

Haven't had any of that dark stuff for years - very dark brown and sort of crumbly - it was when i was still fixing and it went real dark in the works as well but it was clean and strong - fuck knows what it was Ive only seen it 3-4 times in over 30 years.
When its being processed there is a build up from the vapours that condenses at the top of the pot which is the D's B's and what I think Keith Richards use to call brown sugar as that is what it looked like - i wonder if it was that
 
Got a t earlier, prob the best I've had since last summer and I didn't have to pay thru the nose, 70 sheckles. Nice and strong on the throat an not red. Definitely getting better in Edinburgh.

Unlikely, as Mick Jagger wrote the lyrics to Brown Sugar. ;)

Also, the only brown heroin that Keith ever came across was old-school Persian Brown (in the US) and what he called 'Mexican Shoe Scrapings', which Gram Parsons introduced him to.

Most of Keef's heroin was obtained from scripted 'pet junkies' in the UK.

Another interesting Keef fact: he was an avowed IM user, even at the height of his habit.

He's only done the one, it's called My Life. Came out last year AFAIK.

He comes across as pretty down to earth considering he hasn't has to worry about where his next meal is coming from for decades, like.

I dunno if you would be intrested but Ronnie o Sullivans autobio has got a few good Ronnie Wood stories and various other crazy anecdotes .

I would definatlety recomend it , its quite amazing how much Ronnie got up 2 during his glory years. Not yor typicall snooker player , more Rock n Roll than alot of musicians and brutally honest give it a try you won't be disapointed.
 
Cheers for the tip - I'm not a snooker fan per se but Ronnie's a legend. Proper character, which is what snooker players should be. I've heard quite a few funny Ronnie O' Sullivan stories.
