Now, i have never done steroids in my life. And I am extremley biased against them. I joined this site in order to expand my mind and educate myself about the reality of these drugs as i have never done anything past dxm. Im shocked to find people casually talking about opiates and phycadelics. So, here come the questions.
How does this affect your body in the long run?Steroids will do anything from nothing to enhancing your body to destroying your body. Remember there are a SHIT-TON of different steroids with widely varying profiles. I can tell you that *you* won't enhance your body even if you have a box of gear in your possession, unlike most "recreational" drugs, steroids aren't something you just pop and wait for results. You reallly need to know what you're doing
Any Tell tale signs of it? (ex with weed: heart racing, munchies, red eyes)Depends which kind.
How does the high feel?Steroids don't really get you "high" in any sense of the word. Some people act like clowns when they're on a cycle, but I think most vets here would say they can say who most of these people are *before* the people take their gear. (ie "placebo effect". I think many here know people who start acting different like 5min after taking a shot - and to Kipo, a 'shot' of steroids is not an intravenous(vein) shot like w/ many/most other drugs, a shot of steroids isn't meant to hit you asap.
Can it really help you build muscle?Yes - but *help* is the most important word there. If you don't know what you're doing, you will find the situation 'neutral' at best, but 'regrettable' is almost guaranteed.
Is it addictive?Depends on the person - addiction can be psychological, physical, or both. People get psychologically addicted to gear, but it doesn't have a physical addiction profile like many recreational drugs.
Im not planning on doing it more than once,Steroids are occasionally done for *very* long/infinite periods of time, but most commonly are done in "cycles", where one uses for a pre-determined period of time, say 8-12wks. Taking them once is not how it works, steroids are not like recreational drugs. You could take a triple shot of test in the locker room, and you wouldn't hit bigger #'s in the gym that day. although i do want to try it.Don't. You're not remotely knowledgable enough, you will only hurt yourself. Generally speaking, one should already be *quite* far along in their training (as newer lifters don't need gear in any sense, they can already make great gains w/o it), and once they're considering anabolics, they should learn what the choices are so they know exactly which one(s) are for them (there are many). Then once that person is absolutely sure on which one(s) they'll use, how to use them, at the point in their training to use, they would actually go and acquire what they needed to run their cycle (it's not just gear - if you ran a successful cycle (again, you would not, I promise you), you'd still end up fuct because you were unaware of pct<post-cycle therapy>). Once you had everything in line, only then would you do a cycle. You don't just take steroids and see what happens, you take them already knowing what will happen. A completely different category than most 'recreational' drugs, although I wouldn't consider steroids a recreational drug in the 1st place. Thanks in advance, please exuse any stereotypes i may have hit.
