Oklahoma lawmakers approve life sentence for cooking hashish

Oklahoma epic fail.

we will probably have all sorts of new Oklahoma senators, legislators, ceo's, secretaries etc. w/e odd titles popping up;
or they will be graced with federal funds.

Oklahoma is the big OK to proceed forth with this.

if pot going is to be legal here... we will be missing the days it wasnt.

this way to absurd and intense for such a thing.
do you really think they believe that this is 'fair' or just, protecting the citizen's of Oklahoma as it sounds it should be. what a threat, sounds like id feel as if i was living next door to a "chester" "rapist" or released 'cold-homicide convict'.

Citizen W. Pane says -
"yes mmj is legal, but what comes from it is very disturbing... i mean why would they set some one in a box for life otherwise?!?
there must be something to it... im anxious now.
"

and i rolls more PurpleWreck i fucking grew

Edit:
plus I-35 runs through there, and the big daddy TX... TX would eat OK...

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!

pretty disturbing this kind of thing is still happening =\

Let's make it so people have to literally risk their lives trying to save others by extracting the cure for cancer. Wouldn't want to cut into big pharmas treatment profits.

Just the most recent in an endless string of offensively backward laws in OK.

Other Shining Examples--

*Last state to legalize tattooing (2006).

*All porn videos/DVDs sold in OK stores are censored to obscure certain "acts" (i.e.-penetration)

*Abortion Laws (Not for faint of heart) :X

--Doctors allowed to conceal information regarding potential birth defects from mothers during ultrasound in hopes of preventing abortion.
--Women seeking abortion must fill out a 34-item questionnaire, the results of which are to be posted on public online database.
--Before abortion, women (including rape/incest victims) must turn to face the ultrasound screen and listen as the doctor describes the fetus' development in detail.

...and I think I'll stop there.

One more from the NORML website:

Possession of any amount of marijuana is punishable by up to one year in jail for the first offense and 2 - 10 years in prison for subsequent offenses.

Welcome to Mary Fallin's stark version of Hell, motherfuckers.

From personal experience the second is not true or at least not practiced at the clinic I went to. I actually tried to look at the ultrasound screen out of morbid curiosity but was not allowed nor was I told any development details by the staff. When I left, however, this kid who was in the parking lot with his parents protesting ran up to me with a big sign and started yelling at me telling me what a scum of the earth murderer I was. I don't recall a questionnaire but I could have forgotten about it.

That was very christian of that child to do that 8)

I hate these types of people who sit outside abortion clinics and protest then yell at individuals who have just undergone an emotionally painful procedure. They worship an invisible entity and it's cannibalistic zombie son and call it divine. /rant.

^Exactly. Being the daughter of a preacher (and the black sheep of the family since I have grown up to think for myself and reject the highly illogical unproveable myths I was indoctrinated with) I do remember it says in the bible to not judge or you will be judged 10,000 times more harshly (or something like that) but it seems most "christians" conveniently forget that part.

Well spoken. Also if someone makes a decision to have a procedure such as an abortion done then it is noone's business other than their own and whomever they feel should be involved, not random strangers

^I couldn't agree more. I never had a moral struggle with the decision I made but it was a bit traumatic to walk outside and be greeted by that. If adults want to protest it then whatever, they have that right but to bring their kids along who aren't old enough to comprehend what's really going on is wrong in my opinion. They are exploiting their kids in an attempt to bring shame and guilt to another human. That's the bible belt for you though. The town just outside Tulsa I grew up in had 20,000 residents and well over 100 churches. Lol we also have a large drug problem there too-literally every other day the main newspaper headline was about a meth lab bust or fire. Sorry I know this has gone a bit off topic. Anyway-with the mentality there I am not surprised that Mary Fallin did this, I am disgusted and appaled, but not surprised. Around 40% of inmates in prison in Oklahoma are in there for non-violent drug offenses. It blows my mind that the lawmakers think tougher penalties will deter people from using. It only proves they have no real understanding of drugs or addiction. Hell countries with the death penalty for drugs still have addicts. How long will this madness continue?

It is complete madness that converting weed into a form that is safer for your lungs can give someone a life sentence and I thought liveing in shit hole Florida was bad.

Hell countries with the death penalty for drugs still have addicts.

yea and it never stops the trafficers/smugglers from comeing in

I know this thread is getting off topic, but I'm glad the doc didn't enforce those inhumane "laws" in your case, OntheNod. Any doctor that would do that is probably capable of a lot worse.

And the only other group that comes to mind when I hear "child protester" is the Westboro Baptist Church. Not a good look, Xtians :(

Don't forget to mention how OK just made chillums illegal and our 3.2% piss-water beer. Ive been to jail for a few seeds & stems before, I just wonder if I can get life for emptying the keif from my sieve-grinder and pressing it?!
