I think you should be okay unless you are actually on that main bit of Stokes Croft itself.. hopefully anyway! If you need somewhere a bit further away to crash give me a shout!!

I fully support the anti-tesco thing, and dislike the way the police have dealt with it in such a heavy handed way, but am really not a fan of any violence, no one should get hurt over this...
 
the council buying order was ages ago, they picked today as retribution for last night and probably to make their 160 cops v 4 squatters incident look less joketastic after it was resquatted the next day

i know but i wanted to know why they had to be evicted in the first place
 
total madness, sounded like a warzone last night, helicopter mustve been going for around 5-6 hours straight seemed like. couple of mates got booted out of the croft club in stokes croft when it started and took them over an hour to do a 5 min journey because verything was blocked of by police. Didnt get in there but from what I've heard petrol bombs were thrown (not sure if that was bullshit), was raining bottles, horses charging everyone up and down, burning bins etc. Saw loads of yardies in balaclavas walking up to get in on the action.

Was still all blocked off around the squat this morning with police trying to get a guy of the roof and somone playing a guitar.

saw that on the live feed, the guy was attacking the cops with what looked like a large pole and was threatening them with petrol bombs, he threw some large stones at them too in the end the cops finally just grabbed him and it was over

I wouldn't fancy trying to carry struggling squatters down a ladder after grabbing them off a roof! Must have been very determined police.. the whole thing is odd, why evict THs at the same time that a long-contested Tesco is opening, and why be so heavy handed about it all. Grr.
 
but there wasn't any, hasn't even been mentioned on the news this time so just wondering if smackcraft confused regular bottles with petrol bombs?

no the guy was shouting when the fire engine came close to the building

this was his exact words " Get the fucking fire engine away, i have petrol bombs and will use them if it comes any closer ! "

To confuse and conflate the manifold complex issues at play, and cultivate a general anti-squatting sentiment in the general public. Most of whom are unable to link the general social malaise that has been setting in ever since the beginning of the rise of the supermarkets, with the rise of the supermarkets.
