Sinaloa Drug Cartel Controlled and Protected by Both Mexican and U.S. Governments

creating unnecessary police jobs at public cost is not good for the general public overall :(

Try convincing the public of that though, damn near impossible in the USA espically since 9/11. All you have to do is show people a simple chart showing an increase in police officers leading to a reduction in crime and they'll support it.

I dunno, it's apples/oranges. police officers'* salaries are documented, the kickbacks you mention are theoretical and, while overwhelmingly likely to exist, could be anything from small to large, and could go to several individuals or many, we just don't know.
/*are guards cops? Like, as a requirement/rule? I always saw prison guards as a mix of cops/non-cops, but can't say I have enough knowledge to even guess at that lol

ATF’s ‘Project Gunrunner’ Encourages Purchase Of American Guns Smuggled Into Mexico For The Drug Cartel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On9asN80khg&fmt=18
Note: This short 4-minute report on US government gun trafficking operations along the US-Mexico border needs to be seen by all. Watch it. Share it. Thank you.

Under US Government surveillance and supervision, American gun store owners along the US-Mexico border are ordered to make gun sales to ‘unknown’ buyers who are then permitted to take ‘thousands and thousands’ of guns across the border – openly – and put them in the hands of Mexico’s drug cartel.

Wayne LaPierre from the NRA on Lou Dobbs, ‘The largest gunrunner to the Mexican drug cartels is our government under this administration.' You have to assume that the White House is in bed with the justice department on this coverup.’

^^^that's almost the worst part. This is business as usual. 99.999% of americans will never hear this news and the ones who do hear it are left with nothing else but a fleeting thought of 'I told you so'.

And all the Mexican protests against the war on drugs won't ever make the news... Fucking business as usual. Ugh it makes me sick but wtf can we do?

agreed ..probably not gonna see this type of nres on any network channels..cnn/fox etc..
the only news we get is controlled informatin..no surprises here

video was pulled. Is it new stuff / does it indicate which org was receiving the guns? ]
/otherwise there's actually a huge thread for the topic, you'd actually like it if you hadn't caught it yet

The news is there, it's just that the average viewer doesn't give a fuck about this (or many other relevant issues).
/as a rule, I don't watch television. However, in my current situation, I've actually been around a lotta CNN. Someone left 'fox' on, and that beck guy came on and was actually talking about the zeta's, which surprised the hell outta me. <he was calling for them to be designated terrorists, which is retarded, but still was surprised the subject was mentioned>

[to be clear, I do NOT sympathize with people who are violent/murderers/thiefs/etc, I just think that the definition of terrorism is *clearly* not applicable to drug cartels. It's semantics.]

Los Zetas go on rampage; burn police stations in border town

Saturday, April 23, 2011 6:50

A convoy of armed gunmen allegedly belonging to the Zetas attacked the city Thursday shooting at, vandalizing and torching the headquarters of the Tamaulipas State Police, the local transit police headquarters and nearly a dozen buildings in Miguel Alemán, authorities said. The attack left one civilian and several gunmen dead.

Miguel Alemán is across the Rio Grande from Roma.

According to the information released by the Mexican Army, a firefight with gunmen resulted in the death of one gunmen and the arrest of 11 more. They also reported one soldier dead.

Also on Thursday, the body count found in mass graves in rural San Fernando rose to 177. The Zetas are accused of killing those bodies and placing them several mass graves, the most recent of which was discovered Tuesday.

The attack began about 5:15 a.m. Thursday and continued until 7:30 a.m., when the Mexican military was able to run the gunmen out of town, said a law enforcement official who asked not to be named for security reasons.

The Mexican Military issued a news release that doesn’t mention the dead civilian or the other gunmen reported by the law enforcement official.

One of the groups stayed in Miguel Alemán and fought with the military while the other went toward Ciudad Mier. As a result of the firefight, the Mexican army reported seizing 20 assault rifles, eight grenades, more than 300 magazines and more than 7,600 ammunition rounds.

According to the 8th Military Zone in Reynosa, the Zetas also attacked a military patrol along the Riberena highway prior to the attack in Miguel Aleman which prompted the mobilization of army troops toward the area.

Its like the freaking wild west.

Most of the automatic weapons in the hands of Mexican Drug Cartels were taken or stolen from the Mexican military, or more likely purchased from them. The US a number of years ago sent a lot of military type weapons to the Mexican Army, and almost all were "stolen"!!! LoL, yeah right. lol..The Cia being involved with the Sinaloa cartel helps to explain it's ever increasing power and control over much land formerly controlled by other drug cartels.
The CIA has long been in the business of drug smuggling/selling, etc.. look at Vietnam, the CIA secretly shipped tons of Opium and heroin for Laotian, Cambodian,Thai, and Burmese opium kingpins for information about the North Vietnamese and the Ho Chi Minh Trail, and next thing you see in vietnam ,is highly pure #4 SEA white powder heroin, very cheap and very pure, available to US soldiers all over Vietnam. 1 in 5 deaths of US soldiers by 1970 was from a heroin OD, not a bullet. Then soon you see #4 SEA white powder heroin in the US in mass amounts, not a coincidence IMO. Then in the 80's the CIA and the Iran Contra shit, working with Noreiga and others to bring cociaine into the US to fund CIA black ops, and so on. It is no suprise to me that the CIA would be working with a Mexican drug cartel, while trying to destroy other cartels, and you can be sure the CIA is dealing with Afghni Opium growers/heroin producers to sell their heroin for "information about the Taliban" , but almost all of the Afghan heroin goes to Russia and Europe, suprisingly none is in the US yet, that we know of,at least not in huge amounts, the CIA is helping the Mexican cartels and Colombian Heroin cartels assure the US supply of heroin is high.

I didn't say anything to the contrary. I was merely referencing the current desire of many US politicians to classify some/all cartels as 'terrorist organizations', but they do NOT fit the definition of the term (lack of ideological motive). "Violent international criminal organizations" fits, 'terrorist organizations' does not.

You've got some solid points, but you're missing the bigger pictures and jumping to conclusions all over this post.
