i COMPLETELY understand what you were asking...the needle being in your body would have hurt you by now if it was going to. i know 3 different people who shoot up heroin and ALL 3 have lost a needle in their body at some point...that wouldnt cause the redness on both arms. i shot up coke before and i was told since it numbs the surrounding area-its not like heroin where it burns/stings when you miss-that you could potentially be missing if theres a bump afterward...if you missed then did it on another arm its probably some kind of reaction from it sitting in your skin instead of floating through a vein. i had a red bump when i shot coke once and i just kept putting neosporin on it...it seemed to make the redness/swelling go down.
as for going to a doctor-if i broke my arm right now i wouldnt have the money to go to the er because i have NO money for doctor visits so that-while sad as it is-is not really understandable(we find some money when we really want a high) but i can relate. inevitably if it gets worse im sure youll go to the doctor but i would put neosporin on like 5 times a day then STOP shooting up...at least until it seems to be clearing up. im no doctor but thats what i would do...thats what you were asking right? not what people who think theyre better than you wana tell you...right?
Um, you cant be refused service if you need medical attention. And some hospitals foot the bill(or more accurately...they have a program set up where the government, donations, and certain other sources of cash form a kind of "account" that helps cover the medical bills of the people who cant pay.
Or, if you do end up having to be responsible for a hospital bill, you can pay it at your convenience...as long as you show good faith by paying a few buck here and there (preferably every month)...even if its only like 20 bucks, most hospitals wont come to your home and break your kneecaps because you cant pay it all at once. There are many government funded programs at many "university" or "county" hospitals that help out the "needy". Of course im talking from the standpoint of a U.S. citizen.....now, if you live in Canada, you probably are much better off. Im assuming you live in the U.S..
Anyway....good luck....and NEVER let something like this go unchecked by a medical professional. You could end up in a MUCH worse situation than if you just got it checked in the beginning......
...for example....I am still suffering from a very serious spinal infection that has been "a part of my life" for around 7 months now, all because it took the doctors months to actually listen to me and believe what I was saying rather than automatically assume I was just a junky tryin to get meds. I made the mistake of being honest with them about my past drug use(i had been clean for almost 6 months when the pain from the infection started) so the doctors completely ignored my symptoms I complained of and the HOOOORRRRIIIBBBLLE pain I was in. in there eyes it was a wonderful show I was putting on in hopes of getting payed in narcotics.
This is an example of how letting a medical "condition" run its course without getting help can damage you much more severely than the initial problem...because if I had gotten treatment for my infection when i first went to the hospital/doctors, then I could have been completely clean and healthy just a couple of weeks later....but now...those prick doctors (whom I may be suing in the near future) who had chosen to ignore the problem for about 2 months, letting it get worse and worse, and eventually letting it infect the surrounding bone and organs....now, those doctors are responsible for this long, extremely expensive, and unimaginably painful infection that I have to live with every day for an indefinite period of time(its been almost 8 months so far). I cant even tell you how much money this has cost my family. We are literally broke now and VERY soon will not be able to afford my medications and doctors visits.
Sorry for the long post...but I wanted to make it crystal clear that when you are confronted with ANY medical condition that isnt obviously minor and easily taken care of, you NEED to see a doctor or a similar medical professional.
