MDPV Megathread 6: neko's cum guzzling cock juggling extravaganza!!

yeah i've seen evidence of it happening from cocaine, generally in crack users and have talked to medical professionals dealing with those with chronic psychosis induced by cocaine use. Also read studies of delusional disorder among others being brought on by ADD medication (methylphenidate and adderall) but in the case of the ADD study it was underlying conditions rather than dopamine psychosis.

don't have studies to hand sorry but you're greatly oversimplifying psychiatry

Can you come up with any case studies of peeps who have become permanently psychotic e.g. from cocaine or Ritalin?

I can't find any case studies of people with permanent black eyes.

Doesn't mean I won't do my utmost to avoid one though... ;)

I can assure you it is not difficult by any means.

What do you define as "full blown" psychosis?
Good question, as I guess a psychosis can range from mild hallucinations you know aren't real, to total loss of touch with reality.

I guess when I start believing the hallucinations are real is when I'd call it full blown psychosis. Not knowing the difference between a hallucination and reality, or between a hallucinatory story-line and reality. That really only ever happens to me at VERY high doses of PV, toward the end of a binge, and/or with a lot of sleep deprivation thrown in.

How can it be helped? Everyone's psyche is different. One person seeing shadow people staring in through the window may be another ignoring what they know to be imaginary.

yep i think that's one of the criteria Dedbeet if you are aware you are hallucinating you are not psychotic

So maybe we *can* conclude that MDPV doesn't cause full-blown psychosis that easily then, unless a lot of claimants want to come forward with bizarre stories that never happened. I have a few myself, but they're few and far between, despite seriously heavy PV use. Ghost radio is not psychosis, flickers out the corner of your eyes is not psychosis, uneasy feelings are not psychosis.

The deal where I was a mental picture in my head talking to God while we're both damned to hell, and I walked like a puppet through the house for hours -- that was psychosis.

But Radio 1 is.

:)
Heh... I don't even listen to the radio, fwiw... don't own a vehicle, which is part of the reason. It's the MP3 walkman, Youtube or nothin' here.

While we're on the subject of me (;)), I don't watch TV either, fwiw... don't like it. Quit 4 or 5 years back. A blank white wall is probably more interesting than hypercommercialized garbage, IMO. Even most of the news is not news, it's 'emotional advertising' to keep viewers tuning in... in other words, it's designed to make you feel something rather than communicate information. Why not watch a movie instead, or do something locally, IMO?

I chased some peev earlier and went out in the sun and had a drink, a chat, a laugh and a smoke with some neighbours while our kids were playing.

Good fun.

I'm now making some food for the family.

this is the PV megathread not a social thread, offtopic posts above removed

Sowwy Evad... I guess hardcore peev'ers socializing doesn't qualify :(. Ah well, back to PV then. Ektamine's out for the moment & he's one of the 4 or 5 really hardcore PV'ers... wish he'd make his return & discuss his explorations.

P.S. how come this thread is in Euro/African discussions? PV is a global phenomenon, is it not?

you are free to socialise with everyone Dedbeet in the other social threads, don't feel confined to a tiny clique :)

Well, there's TDS and I'm not hurting about anything at the moment... then there's the lounge, and I'm not hurting for intelligence at the moment (sorry, sorry ;))... there's the rest of the Net too, of course. Okey, I'll shut up... delete this post if ya like.

No, that conclusion is yours through your own experience. It is different for everyone. As you say, Everyone's psyche is different. The effects you may experience can greatly differ from others. Psychosis can greatly depend on a persons mental state prior to PV use. Like say depression can play a huge factor.

Just speaking from experience / observation.

I'm liking you more and more man. ;)

Evad - delete this post and I'll kill you. I'm quite into killing people today. Too many friends like. (That's a joke for MailMonkey)

No we can't, speaking as someone who was fully psychotic because of MDPV use.

The acute symptoms of stimulant psychosis are temporary, but relapse becomes a lot more likely and taking medication, olanzapine in my case, has to continue for several months in order to prevent a relapse.

Absolutely, I haven't touched MDPV in over 2 months, and the last time I did, psychotic symptoms began to appear after just an initial dose of MDPV. So I don't go near it atall.
Did you fail to get much of a break between runs? Or did you actually get psychotic symptoms coming back immediately after a month or more away?

So you literally can go psychotic again, without getting near PV or any dopaminergic drugs? What sort of symptoms?

Hey thanks :). Of course everyone knows the 'news' is heavily slanted toward the negative... that ain't news ;). Any mainstream 'news outlet' has to be, to stay in business...

So you get what they give you, which means a negative slant on the world at large, it seems. The world is a horrible, horrible place, cuz it has to be for CNN to stay in business ;).
