MDMA or MDA???

MDA = more nystigmus + more hallucinations (IMO)

MDMA seems to me to be a bit more "talkative" and less centered around a visually pleasing experience.

Yes you definitely can (if you have enough MDA I would presume).
You hallucinate or something ... visual distortions I suppose ... on MDA.

I took some MDA thinking it was MDMA and the shapes on the walls kept morphing. It was crazy. I later confirmed that it was MDA. First time trying it ... I knew it was at least cut with something ... I still had the loving feeling from MDMA but not to the same extent ... although that could have been because I had redosed already.
 
mda = stimulating, psychedelic mindset / not empathic, visual, more confusing, much heavier and potent experience, more physical. it has the worst comedown of them all IMHO, i don't get drained emotionally unless i really overdo it, but the comedown is much harder on your body no question about that

mdma = mellow, empathic mindstate, more clear-headed, not all that psychedelic for the most part, more forgiving than mda. comedown leaves you drained and either emotionally shallow or with an afterglow (individuals differ)

mdea = sedating except w/ waves of energy, different mindset but not empathic or all the psychedelic, somewhat confusing, very heavy body feel, crazy brain movies / dreamy state. comedown not bad at all (not considering abuse or heroic doses)

all 3 have a certain rolly euphoria to them but mdma is sheer bliss. mda works on 5ht2 receptors like shrooms/lsd/mescaline/etc so that's why it has the psychedelic edge to it. mda also releases a considerable amount of dopamine, much much more than mdma, so it's much speedier. because of mda having a stronger dopamine release than mdma, mda is the more neurotoxic of the 2.

I appreciate the wisdom. I never knew it was so many different variations. I just always thought it was MDMA until BL.
 
MDA doesn't actually trip me out as bad as it has my other friends. It essentially just feels like a much more steady/controlled MDMA roll. When I take MDMA (tested, of course) I tend to have sort of a mood-swinggy roll that gets rather distracting. MDA gives me a consistent high where I don't seem to get as many waves of random.

I too prefer MDA.
 
I've always enjoyed MDMA more than MDA. Granted, I fell in love with MDMA long before I tried MDA, but I just enjoy the connections you make with randomass people at raves on MDMA. I tend to be too distracted to socialize as effectively on MDA, much like LSD.

I think they rank like sisters, side-by-side. MDMA is far more empathogenic than MDA in my opinion. MDA is much more psychedelic. MDA puts me in a floaty, calm, blissful, peaceful and slightly trippy headspace. MDMA puts me an extreme empathogenic, love-rushing, pleasure-saturated happyfuckland.

Which one I would rather take comes down to setting, and setting alone, for the most part.

Damn, reminiscing about MD(M)A always brings out the fiend in me hardcore. I must om nom nom some brown sugar crystal right meow!!
 
mda question

i used to get real good pill all the time when i first started rolling. sometimes the pills would make us have crazy visuals and hallucinations, but we still had the same rolling feel. im not asking anyone to tell me what was in my pill, i just was wondering whats the difference in effect between mdma and mda. i have never knowingly taken a pill that was mda so im not sure how it makes you feel.
 
What you used to take was probably MDA. MDA is much more energetic and can be hallucinogenic for some people. From what I've noticed, MDA also makes you feel a lot more sexual than MDMA, which makes you just want to touch everything, but in a less sexual way.

well what was weird is, the ones that usually made us see crazy stuff, had us laid back. our dealer said "yea those are H based" which i now know she didnt know what she was talking about. but all pills usually makes me feel sexual lol. thanks for the info

MDA vs MDMA

I utfse. I've read PiKHAL and other texts. I may have asked this question before but couldn't find info. I've done E over 50 times in my life, staring with powder that I obtained from a deadhead at a dead show. That was a nice high, started going off on New Years 88' (actually techniqualy obtained it in 87 a few days before New Years)- From the parking lot. I started comming on right when the fireworks were hitting- that was intense then the high was subtle but social. I'm sure the off white powder was E b/c the powder had that taste. Best E was a white cap at my first rave in 91- that was pure magic- after the plast off hit a beautiful ultimate luvy I'm at one with everyone and the Universe. Setting probably played a role. I did E once I was sure was E b/c it was made by a friend- a major in Ochem working in the industry- make that twice prety sure- made by my friends brother whom I didn't meet but was a physical chem grad student. Reasonably sure. My friends E was more subtle than I thought.

I'm sure I got MDA atleast once without knowing it advertised as E. I've read that there is not cross tolerance. I've read the L-aniomer is more active unlike MDMA. Shulgin says racemic MDMA is the best one. From what I've read MDA is more visual and lasts longer. They also talk about a "cone of silence." What is that.

So those of you that tried either and new the identity of the drug with certainty please compare and contrast the high in your words. Uncle Fester feels that MDA is a better drug. Does anyone have a preference?
 
The main difference is, like you said, the length and the visuals. MDA will give off a more psychadelic feel to it as MDMA is more loved up and less visual feeling. MDA will last around 6 hours in my experience and MDMA lasts about 4-5. I would prefer MDMA to MDA usually, but I guess it depends on the environment. Listening to a house or trance show I would go for the MDMA, but if I was at say, a jam band show I would prefer MDA.
