2C-E: One Dead and ten hospitalized.

well put... ughh. too pissed to even comment. We all know the truth behind the whole matter and the tyranny of drug laws in order to divert illicit income back into lobbyists pockets. What a disgrace.
 
After 2C-E becomes illegal, what kind of newer, weirder research chemicals drugs are kids going to turn to next to get high ????

And what about after that next chemcal becomes illegal ???

When will it end ???
 
one fucking person died in its entire history of usage. Still has a much better rep than aspirin..or coffee.

They must of definately been doing other drugs, at least the one's who got hospitalized and the one who died.

Also, when the police say that all were "overdosing" does that mean they were literally convulsing, or showing bad signs like profuse sweating, massive heart rate etc? I think they may have just been tripping really hard.

Ugh, this is really unfortunate. I will, for the life of me, never understand why people snort 2c-x's...

At least my impulsive buying of a gram of 2c-e a while back is now vindicated, seeing that it might get made illegal.

yeah I saw how they did that here, with a picture of some powder and calling it "2c-1" and blaming it for the ODs.

I don't use any research chems at all but it wouldn't surprise me if 2c-E is made illegal because of this.
 
just realized this kid had a five month old son.

that kids life is fucked.

God damn it. What scummy idiotic kids. If they were sent a mislabeled chem I'd have a bit more sympathy (not much..brains still dictates testing before going and hoofing some lines with your friends), but regardless.. I'd venture to say they got what they deserved.

My condolences to the friends and family of the one that died, but I think each one of dumbfucks laying in the hospital deserves a good slap in the face. The stupidity and selfishness of these kids actions have ripples far beyond what they've ever considered.

Regarding the OP... I'm pretty disappointed about this. 2C-E has been available like this for a long time and hasn't had many serious medical complaints... The relative safety of 2C-E as a drug is really what should be focused on... If only logic was used!

The fact is, we don't know for a fact that this was even 2C-E, or like mentioned elsewhere, that he wasn't on an MAOI or that he didn't have any underlying medical condition. You're really harsh to someone who died in circumstances we don't even really know yet...
 
I hate the media on the topic of drugs as well.

It's like asking the plumber what he thinks of your financial administration.
Then he says: you got too much money, give me some.

I thought I had a point, but in actuality I don't.
 
^^@clayfig: so they thought they were taking meph, somehow discovered after dosing that it was 2-c-t-7, then incorrectly reported to the police that it was 2c-e?
 
The media often does report incorrectly, or cultivate hysteria for the sake of the song, but it is a fallacy to lump all reporting into one lumped "media". It isn't some goliath beast lumbering along (although I understand the analogy...), but many different people with many differing approaches, some bad, some good. I've seen great drug journalism, and bad drug journalism. It isn't a single entity. And documentation is critical....

And we probably never will know the true circumstances. Whether the kid was on a MAOI or not or if he ingested a chemical other than 2c-e (this one would certainly never be rescinded/corrected by those running the story). Like I said, it would be a different story if some asshole dealer sold him something else. As the information stands, however, it sounds like he was acting irresponsibly with a potent psychedelic drug in a party setting, bad shit went down, and now all kinds of people are reading this news story going "Oh shit 2c-e the new dangerous club drug ban ban ban!!"

It would be more regrettable if more of it was out of his hands. In any case, imo, it's an incredibly foolish thing to do to take a drug without reading up on it first, which would've revealed some possible interaction with MAOI. Also, having the brains to try a wee bit of that white powder before

I take back saying he deserved what he got though, those were angry words, not thoughtful ones. Just..damn. stupid kids.
 
Jeez they must have taken alot. I don't even want to imagine a OD of 2ce, It'd be a hell of a trip
 
Think about it: in all the years 2C-E has been used all across the globe, daily, there has not been one reported death. People have been dosing far higher than normal doseages for years. Like any major dude pointed out, there are numerous reports of >100mg doses, not to mention the ones that go unreported.

Considering that eleven kids got injured/died at the same time supposedly from the same drug, this is clearly not 2C-E poisoning. We haven't even heard anything from a postmortem toxicolgy report to confirm that, only the misinformed ramblings of some delerious kids. I doubt that they were all on MAOIs (although it's possible), more within the bounds of reality is that they took something far more potent and deadly. We've already heard 2C-I, and 2C-E, and it is probably neither. Probably a case of chinese whispers, and it's actually MDPV or bath salts, or something.

Don't get in to a big flap about it. There are always people who will hurt themselves with this stuff, like anything.

Isn't 2C-T-7 Schedule 1 in the US? This makes me wonder of how many people out there actually do a proper allergy test when they order/obtain chemicals such as Mephedrone, Methylone, MDAI, etc...

I'm sure most do when they get the more potent Pihkal & Tihkal compounds or the NBOe compounds but how many blindly dive into the Beta-Ketones or whatever?
