Like I said it's terrible those much more severe and more heinous crimes are categorized with such minor offenses such as your example. To be honest it is the act that is associated with the person. A lot of those people have psychological problems or were abused themselves. It's not that I mind them being able to live their life equally as ours with equal consequences, but its some of those actions that put people at extreme risk. Most of those crimes don't just happen once thats the problem. Also a lot of those problems go unreported, which is even worse. I would've figured they have categorized the seriousness or level of what happened and if it was something like your example I think its terrible to ruin someones life with that label at a young age. A system needs to be made where the less serious offenses are not under the same umbrella as the more serious ones.
Of course a debate can be had on the issue of sex-offender labeling, but I'd say its because it sounded like a good idea to protect the average public citizen, since it could be your neighbor and you wouldn't know. I certainly wouldn't want my kids living next door. Although I don't disagree with it, like I said I do feel there should be another name for less minor stipulations. I thought Indecent exposure was the charge for being naked in public and I once got a fine for pissing in public. Neither of those were sex-offender labeled, so if you can be more specific to the lower end crimes besides the minor playing the No card I'd love to hear them.
Much love always love a good convo.
