Opiates just arent for me :(

Lets rewind to 3 days ago. Before then I had taken vicodin on a few occasions, with mild effects (heightened mood, uncoordinated--ive taken 30mg 4x7.5/750) but none of the euphoria or other things that I've heard about opiates. I convinced myself that the vicodin I found was too old, not good, etc. I then tried hydromorphone orally with minimal effects, again thinking that it was because hydromorphone has such low bioavailbility.

So, 3 days ago, I spoke to a fellow member on bluelight. I decided that I was going to try plugging 4mg of hydromorphone. The next day I plugged 4mg. Felt absolutely nothing. Plugged 4mg more...still not much. I figured that I messed up the plugging. Throughout this day, I ended up snorting approx. 8mg more, and plugging 8mg more. The most I felt was a heightened mood and uncoordination. No euphoria at all. I learned later that these doses were INSANE for someone like me with absolutely no tolerance. Fast foward to today. I plugged 16mg. Still no tolerance. I feel in a good mood, and a little off, but no euphoria or anything like that.

Now, I have yet to try oxycodone and other stronger opiates, but I have come to the conclusion that these wont be much different. Hydromorphone is supposed to be excellent plugged, and I barely even felt euphoric. I just dont think opiates work well on me :( Ill stick to weed and amphetamines =D.

Anyway, thoughts?

FYI:
Crushed pills into a fine powder, used 2-5ml water (except when i did 16mg. for 16mg I used 9ml)
Used 10ml syringe inserted 3 inches+
Slowly put solution in, remained on that side for 30minutes.
None leaked out, I'm sure of it.
With the 16mg I followed procedure completely correct.

As a weird update: 11/15/2011

I have totally given up on opiates, never have come across oxy and would love to try it but i doubt it'd do anything for me. This summer I took 6x7.5/750 vicodin and still felt very little. Clearly vicodin doesnt work, although stronger opiates might.

not saying you should do it (please don't) but bang a shot of H and you will know what all the fuss is about

If you are totally new to opiates and want to try something out, you shouldn't have started off with hydromorphone or even Vicodin.

I would've started off with codeine first (Tylenol #3). It's the one I first did and let me tell you, it gave me an excellent typical morphine/heroin high at 300 mg (my third time doing it - yes codeine). You could've started off with 60-90 mg and probably would've felt good. Then went on to do 200-300 mg of codeine.
Or you could've given the hydrocodone another chance. Even if the Vicodin didn't give you the "euphoria" you were looking for, maybe you could've increased your dose by a bit and you would've got what you were looking for.
 
if that much morphone wont get him off no amount of codeine will

First off, I'm in the US so i dont think I can get that codeine. Also, I took 30mg (4x 7.5/750) of the hydrocodone, which I'm pretty sure is a huge dose for someone with no tolerance. I'm also pretty sure that the hydrocodone is a much weaker drug compared to hydromorphone rectally.

What do you mean you can't get that kind of Codeine in the US? That is the most common brand of codeine.
 
I know this isn't the answer you are looking for, but take it from a long term opiate addict...take this as a blessing. If they aren't "doing it for you" then I say you are a blessed person :) Opiates invite you in and can suck you dry all within a year.
 
Maybe you're right - maybe opiates just aren't your thing. Trust me from experiences, I wish 11 years ago I could say that about myself - "opiates just aren't for me" - but too bad I can't. They stole 11 years of my life and they continue to do so, just now in the form of methadone, legally.

Maybe its for the best that you just leave them alone, huh?

Yes...I will. I was thinking this myself! But I guess it really is a blessing. Too bad amphetamines work very well...

VERY interesting. I hear from alot of people that they dont like the adderall high, but personally adderall gives me the best high of anything I've tried (which isnt a short list). I get massive amounts of euphoria from amphetamines, so everyone really is different. Thats why I really need to stay away from coke for as long as possible...
 
See, my experience with amphetamines, especially dextroamphetamine and methamphetamine were always excessively euphoric.

In fact, I believe methamphetamine to be the most eurphoric drug out there right now. It's why I ran away from the whole scene and subculture as fast as I could because I saw myself getting deeper and deeper into it. This was back in 2008.

Methamphetamine is one hell of a drug, but the scene and subculture of it is so obscene, perverted, disgusting, vile, and outright nasty that I just couldn't stomach it. Now I'm an atheist person, but during the time I was messing with meth I truly believe I saw evil. I saw evil in the eyes of the people that were doing it with me, in myself everytime I looked in the mirror. I was literally a walking skeleton and the worst part was that I actually believed I was fine and everyone else was the problem. There was always some sort of conspiracy against me from my family or the local police department just whatever. It turned me into a diabolical liar like I had never been (I mean I used to lie when I was on opiates), but on meth I would lie about everything. Even things that didn't make sense. It was horrible.

I finally got snapped back into reality by family and friends in detox and then I went back to my lovely opiates, that never did those things to me.

It just seems crazy to me...I've never felt what everyone describes from opiates, for me smoking weed is much better. Hell, a cup of coffee might even be better to be honest.
 
You didn't say how much vicodin you took. Hydrocodone (the active ingredient in vicodin) is a pretty good starter opiate with good oral bioavailability. It is a weaker opiate, however, but in the right dose should be good for someone new to opiates.

Hydromorphone is really only useful when IVed. Now, I'm not into sticking things in my ass so I can't say how well that works but orally and nasally it's pretty worthless. When IVed, however, it's fucking awesome. Pretty strong and with a really good rush. Not that I'd recommend anyone IVing that doesn't already so if you don't already you get way more bang for your buck with other opiates. Dilaudids are usually pretty expensive.

I'd recommend getting some oxycodone. Excellent oral bioavalibility and pretty strong too. Depending on how much hydrocodone you took will depend on how much oxy you should do. Oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone so maybe start with the same dose of hydrocodone that you didn't feel much of. Maybe 30mg... might be too strong for you but it should defiantly give you a good opiate high.

But if you REALLY want to know what opiates are all about stick that syringe of hydromorphone in your arm instead of your butt :p (and start with only like 4mg... it's WAY stronger when IVed. The oral bioavailibility is only around 25%. IV of anything by definition is 100% making it 4 times stronger.)

Edit: Just read you were using a 10mL syringe... didn't even know they made them that big. Again, I don't know anything about plugging but the standard size syringe for IVing is 1mL and I didn't even need to fill it all the way up to hold 16mg. It may be that you're using way too much water. I mean 1mL should be a max for just about anything. And most things only need 50 units at the most (100 units = 1mL). I usually try to use around 30 units if I can.

Yes, different types of drugs affect everyone differently. I myself hated adderall, I never git high off of it & it put me to sleep after an hour once. Opiates on the other hand give me an awesome feeling.
 
Reminds me of a friend of mine who tried various opiates at moderate dosages for a beginner, and claimed to never feel the high. So one day he decided to go all out with half an 80mg Oxy insufflated... and he still says he felt nothing. Half of an 80 won't do anything to a lot of us out there, but for someone with no tolerance, it should pack quite a punch.

I consider people like you and him to be lucky.
 
Finnaly i actually hear someone doing the same opiates with me with the same negligible effects. (also yet to try oxycodone/oxymorphone) Dilaudid (8mg; repeated 2x) and Hydrocodone (45mg; single dose) (both in Norco and Vicodin) were not felt, even after dosing with a selection of pills (soma and xanax) from a "pharm party".

It mystifies me how the individual body chemistry can make such differences in effects from drugs. Including why such irresponsible combinations have not resulted in at least impairment greater than what 2-3 shots of 80 proof alcohol would do to me.

Have any studies been conducted on those with naturally occurring opiate tolerances and why no euphoria is experienced?
