NEWS - Ecstacy )MdMa) on OPRAH!

Mdma is definitely a 'magical' drug, i honestly believe it would be fantastic for therapy, especially quality controlled pharmaceutical grade product which would have nowhere near the negative side effects of 'street pills'. I could see it being of massive benefit to so many people if only the government would open it's mind.

Yes I abused the drug in my early years at the old melbourne raves but have also had some of the most stimulating and profound discussions with friends on the drug. I tended to enjoy using it alone in recent years with nothing but some tunes, a pen and paper and my thoughts, was able to very clearly articulate and think though various things which were troubling me in life and ponder on what things were going well.

Haven't had any really good mdma for over a year now....shame indeed.

5-HTP definitely helps, I used to use it all the time when i was a regular, I still have the magic today (albeit somewhat reduced) and ive probably had close to 450/500 hits over the years, the key is to realise that 'less is more,' I never really liked the idea of double dropping etc.

Great article, definitely some good signs in there.

Methylone (bk-MDMA) is similiar to MDMA, most people put the amounts of about 100mg MDMA ~ 250mg methylone.
But even at doses around 300mg I didn't find it comparing to MDMA in the true change of thoughts that MDMA can bring. It's great to go out clubbing on and dance away but lacks the mind opening doors in the magical way that MDMA can. I remember my first true experience on MDMA and even though I don't have PTSD I could relate to how it could help. It didn't so much change my view on things, but I felt I could relate to all my problems on a whole new level, objectively as it was put in the article. And not just for me, my friends that I were there with, anything I said or they said felt safe. I had true empathy.

Oprah's a power house, if she's backing MDMA even just for it's therapeurtic purposes it's a hell of alot better then her being against it. It was good to read that they are pushing for trials to start in lots of other countries including right here in AUS ^.^
Let's just hope it doesn't take another 6 years for the next set of results to come out.

Roads long bluelight team, but this article brightened up my day =D

Methylone supposedly releases less Serotonin in one go compared to MDMA, so the empathogenic effects aren't as strong, but it'd result in a smaller hangover from what I've read in other forums. For my case, I'd be glad to try pure Methylone or MDMA if I ever had the chance, which is probably never...

Anecdotally, I knew of a person who tried Dexamphetamine, and he said that the first 10 times or so he used it, the effects were quite similar to MDMA, as in great euphoria, empathy and open-ness in socializing. But then after the "honeymoon" trips, he had a permanent tolerance, where he no longer gained this extra empathy, but just mild euphoria and motivation to do the work that he needed to do.

And yeah Oprah is like one of the queens in American media, she has a power called the "Oprah Effect"!

Amazed I would not suggest using St John's Wort to ease MDMA comedowns, St John's Wort is a MAOI and these can be very dangerous to use in close proximity to MDMA. St John's Wort is a mild MAOI but it is still not a risk that I would personally want to be taking, you could get serotonin syndrome.

Thank you for the tip, I knew that St John's Wort reacts with many medications, including certain antiretroviral drugs, but didn't know it had mild MAOI properties. :)

I for one, would be extremely interested to see what Dr. Phil has to say on the subject (rolls eyes).

Now here toodaaayy. We have not only someone who has been lyyying to his giirlfriend of siiiiiix yeaauurss! He also takes the deaadly desiigner druurrg ecstaarrcy!

It also has SSRI properties that are mild. Which is a dangerous combination... if St Johns actually had any strong effect. Ive been using it and rolled and didnt have any complications. didnt make me sick or get SS or didnt mute the experience but its best to be safe

I did use St John's Wort experimentally for around 1 month. After 2 weeks, I started getting very vivid, detailed dreams, with excellent recall when I woke up.

were they scary dreams? where you wake uop feeling like youve run a marathon

I had the exact same thing. Really intense, vivid dreams, not the most comfortable ones either. I stopped after 2 weeks because of it.

Haha my dreams were really random, one of them was that I was in a video game in a nice grassy park, and that anything I did "gained points", and I was trying to figure out which actions would make me gain points the quickest. If I kicked a tree, I gained 100 points or something, and background music was playing, it sounded like a mix between Jazz and Salsa. Once I gained around 1000 points or so, my vision zoomed out, and it looked like my environment was actually part of a picture in a book, and the book eventually closed.

And then there was another dream where I was in a house with lots of furniture, and the furniture started getting angry at me even though I couldn't see any expressions. I had a sense of antagonism and aggression. I started spinning and floating in the air and a colourful snake like creature started heading towards me, and I jumped away from it on pieces of cardboard.

Bah the St. John's Wort dreams felt like aaagggeeesss, it was like I was in a movie! A cheap movie perhaps. I might think of taking it again if I control my diet :)

All my dreams are pretty much vjideo games. I dont know why i dont play games anymore. Everything is a tedious weird mission that ends up in sleep paraylisis seizures and visuals

Do the really vivid dreams from St. John's Wort resemble anything near LSD?

The only similarity I can see between my 2nd Dream, and the very first trip by Albert Hoffmann was that we both noticed the furniture having personalities.

May I ask how did you feel (in greater detail) while you were on the Methylone? I'm guessing you dosed around 200mg.

I've been reading another forum, and this guy recommended Methylone to improve intuitive social awareness.

My problem is that I have flat affect, and I have difficulty reading body language and facial expressions, and I don't understand jokes or sarcasm unless someone explains it to me. I have difficulty with understanding subtle social cues, and I need people to be blunt when speaking to me, otherwise I start getting confused.

When I look at people's faces when talking to them, I have to examine their eyes and mouth and cheeks, and then combine it for analysis, but it's totally manual and I get really exhausted.

He said that both MDMA or Methylone will help with the social things, but preferred Methylone for therapeutic purposes as there's less serotonin being released, and therefore less of a hangover, albeit with less "fluffiness" during the peak.

I found there was significantly less empathy than MDMA. It's like it's fun to sit around and talk shit and listen to people talking shit, and it's really interesting and important at the time... but more because you're high than actually feeling super connected.

I imagine you'd have a better chance of interacting with people on Methylone, I know I don't feel too out of it or uncomfortable around people. That said, I've only done real MDMA once- I'm by no means experienced! I've done Methylone quite a bit though, and sampled Melbourne's super awesome supply of "mdxx-lol" pills.

That sounds similar to how some people with Asperger see the world. I wonder what either drug would do. In Pihkal, MDMA fixes a whole bunch of weird and unexpected things though.

What I mostly meant by the hangover was that it's going to be roughly the same amount of unpleasantness either way, so don't pick one based on the hangover :) It would depend on the individual what was better or worse.

Sorry about slow reply, I fell asleep typing the other day. This thread is probably way longer now.

Thestudent, do you get any desire to plan and organise aspects of your life/ future on Methylone? I get it every time! The last time I decided I was going to start cooking more, and for the most part I've actually stuck to it!

On methylone if i am at home alone I start cleaning or sorting everything and starting to get my life in order which ends up too OCD it ends up in more of a mess than before.

There's a big difference between a therapuetic dose of MDMA compared to a recreational one. In Amazeds circumstance, he wouldn't feel out of it or uncomfortable from MDMA if he was taking a therapuetic dose.

theraputic dose is 125mg followed by 75mg 2.5 hours in.

The difference is the purity and clean-ness of the product. 125mg 99.9% MDMA doesn't make you a total mongtard and you can focus on things

Lol Asperger Syndrome is precisely what I've been diagnosed with! I'm not sure which sites sell the real Methylone and not the fake crap, so I don't wanna risk it. But thank you for sharing your experience with it. Pihkal and Tihkal would be extremely interesting books to have, but I don't have access to it. For now I'm reading textbooks that explain body language and facial expressions so hopefully I can analyze them quicker in real-time in the future :)
